Naturally, I don't want to attend the semiformal with a pity date, which is why I told my friends I have a boyfriend: this really cute drummer, Rafe. (I wish!) What's the big deal? Well, Rafe already has a girlfriend, plus now he thinks I have a boyfriend. So I have two imaginary boyfriends, and still no date for the dance. What was I even thinking?

Would a guy

Lily loves music, or at least she used to. Now playing the piano is her life and she's missing out on all the normal stuff. When her friends come back from spring break, each with hair highlights and talking about boys, Lily knows something's changed within their group. She feels like an outcast and she rebels against her teacher and her parents.

They come up with a solution where Lily will play keyboard in her piano teacher...more

I just downloaded this today and since I still have some free time decided to skim the first few chapters but well, I have finished this on one sitting. At one point of my life I could clearly relate to Lily when her passion for music diminishes as too much pressure was put on her shoulders, not that I went into recital or that levels, I did performed on recitals playing violin not the piano but, well you probably got the idea. When too much pressure is put into you, you just wanted to be free f...more

This, as well as Silver Kiss, was like reading a one-shot manga. Short love story what ends more or less with a happy end. The ending was typical and sweet. I enjoyed reading it ^_^ I'm a sucker for music and love stories. I had moments when I wanted to slap Lily :)) but I guess I can't ask for anything, she was just human in her world. Maybe many other girls would have done the same thing.

Okey, I admit I knew it will be short and cheesy! I couldn't help myself. I wanted to read something easy and romantic like the first crush and all.
This book is light and interesting, sweet and....really for younger girls, but I read it anyway.
It wasn't as good as the other book from this author called The Boyfriend Game, but good nonetheless.

More of a younger age range book, but cute. The characters were midly annoying. Especially Les, he only likes girls with boyfriends? wtf. And the whole middle school dance scene, how awkward. I don't see how you could bounce back from that so quickly and have the ending you want.

Actually, I’m no longer interested to read these types of books that the background of the story is about how to chase over BOYS. I think these books are suitable for, yeah of coz for young adults, teenagers or school children. For me, I just want to make fun of reading these since its using a very simple English and the story plot is very light and totally to give you something that suit you with the teenage life, have clique and-so-called boy/girl things. Not much can I review about these book...more

Since I read adult books in junior high, I figured I should read a junior high book now that I am an adult. It was cute.

I didn't like this book as well as Davis' PUTTING BOYS ON THE LEDGE or SMART BOYS AND FAST GIRLS, but I think that may be because this is probably geared more for the tween crowd. I just kept thinking there could be so much more... more character development, more conflict, more romance. But, if I hadn't had preconceived notions in my head, I probably would have liked it just fine.
