Kendra Kellogg is an extremely skillful witch and a teacher. She’s quick-witted and strong-willed, vivacious, straightforward, compassionate and a bit touchy. She’s also a fighter who protects the ones she cares about with fierce determination. Despite her strength and boldness there's an amount of vulnerability to her that softens her and makes her an amazing character. She doesn't quite know what to do with her attraction to Max and his interest in her. In the beginning I was curious about her

This was a really great story, probably my favorite so far of the series. I like the new direction Dane is taking the story. I'm not a super big fan of witches and warlocks usually, but Dane does them very well. They don't seem woo-woo or B horror flick. They're every day average people who happen to have magical powers.

Amazing! Although I have to admit as a reader I didn't read the first book ONLY because my store did not have it.
I pick the book because there were cats in them and I live cats but as I read Kendra and Max gritty/dirty words I thought to myself "did I really ask for this book?" Now I'm happy I got this book! It explore a new realms of reading for me.

Earlier this week I finished reading Trinity, the prequel to this story and was so excited to get my hands on this story because of the cliffhanger in the last novel. Thankfully I was able to get a copy quickly and dive right in to what comes next with the de la Vega cats. This story follows Kendra, a witch, and Max, the alpha-to-be of the de la Vega jamboree. We continue in the hunt for what mages are attacking Kendra and Renee (introduced in Trinity) and hopefully answers to what their father

At long last, Kendra Kellogg has found her sister-but she's no closer to filling the gaps in her past. The magick that brought them together makes them targets for dark mages intent on finishing what started with their mother's murder. As if her life wasn't chaotic enough, in barrels the one thing she doesn't expect, Max de La Vega. He's six-and-a-half-feet of cocoa-brown alpha male. He's strong, intelligent, sexy and intense. Everything she'd wanted in a man. And he scares the hell out of her.

Max and Kendra's chemistry was hawt and the story was ok, but it was really a 3 for me - but just because I love Lauren Dane so much I made it a 4.
Maybe because I read it on my nook it seemed to jump around a lot - like maybe they forgot to format it correctly or something. I was confused at times because all of a sudden something different would be happening.

Loved, loved, loved this book. While we had met Max and Kendra in Trinity, we really didn't know anything about them so this was a great book for getting to know new characters while still involving Renee, Galen & Jack. There was even mention of a couple of the Wardens, which was nice for those of us who are fans of the Cascadia Wolves series.
Seeing how Kendra handled all the complications of joining the jamboree was interesting and showed what a strong character she is.

Let me start by saying that I hardly EVER give 5 stars to a book. It's got to be up there with epics and classics, etc. to get that kind of rating. If I give a book a 4, it means I'll more than likely reread that book at some point because it's a darned good book. A 5 means the books is freaking spectacular and so good that I could possibly dream about it! And yep, this book is definitely a five in my little world.

I really enjoyed this book. However, there were a few things that prevent me from giving it 5 stars. One being that I think there was just too much going on all at once. It was hard to keep track of exactly which villain was doing what and at what time. The book should have either been longer or some stuff should have been taken out and saved for the next in the series.

Great book! Really enjoyed the relationship between Max and Kendra. He was alpha, but still listened to Kendra's opinions. She was strong and stood on her own two feet, but "got" Max's need to protect.
I'm excited about where this series is going. The plot that was begun in Trinity (book 1 in the series) involving Renee and Kendra's father and step-mother was continued and I love how it really adds to the world. I'd highly recommend starting with Trinity to get the most out of More...

All I can say is "Beautiful"! The worlds that LD builds are just magnificent. This book was not very long but seemed to be jam packed with so much information it still took me longer than usual to read it. I didn't want to miss any details. I absolutely love these characters. These shifters and witches are all intermixed and so interesting. The love and loyalty among these people is wonderful. I enjoyed the suspense and intrigue and look forward to the continuation of the story.

This was a really great story, probably my favorite so far of the series. I like the new direction Dane is taking the story. I also liked the way Max and Kantra were with each other. They had more than just sex between then. They had respect and caring.

Max is a very different kind of Alpha and I really enjoyed it. The banter was great and super funny.

The first book was great but this one was fantastic. I can't wait for the next installment in this series.

I liked Max and Kendra getting together because they both knew it was going to happen. Kendra was a strong character who wasn't going to let Max or his family boss her around. They were able to compromise between Max's need to be protective of her and her need to be independent.

It's amazing that I read this book while my sister and her family were here! Love this series! The way that Kendra handles Max makes them a great couple! The ending has me counting down the days until the next book!

It was a great book, however I feel like it could've been shorter. It kinda lost me towards the end and I was actually hoping the reading of the last bit went by faster. However, the storyline and characters were great!
