This was a First Reads win for me. I was interested in it because both my husband and I have small businesses.

Everyone knows the old saying, "If you don't like the message, don't shoot the messenger." Well, in this case, I didn't care for the messenger, but the message was pretty darn good. [In the beginning I found him to possess qualities I generally stay away from and which make it difficult for me to be open; he seemed like a self-centered, arrogant guy to whom the sale was more important th

Beside offering empowerment message in order to have more pragmatic view, Hayzlett throwing yet simple baseline that indication for success of your own business, ignore-able. The value that should we opt to adapt upon, should be realized to the entire communities. Whether it is in your family, organization, business and self-individual. Commitment and motivation in realistically govern more than what value driven in this book. Such a valuable experience that I have gained, comes to this book fro ...more

Wow! Great marketing insights from the World's Top Marketing Guru, Kodak's CMO Jeffrey Hayzlett. He is truly a "dream team" marketing leader. Jeff combines good basic marketing insights from his own personal business experiences, plus awesome advice on how to use today's new Social Media platforms like Facebook, Twitter & Linkedin to launch or expand a business. His real life experiences cover small companies to huge corporations, local & global. The author explains how common sense, und

Jeffrey Hayzlett is an accomplished marketer and a successful businessman. He has a large personality overflowing with confidence, which more often than not overshadows the book's content. The only thing differentiating The Mirror Test from a myriad of other business books is the personality behind it. It contains solid advice, as do most, but with the advice comes a 225-page long unapologetic message about Hayzlett's greatness.

I must say that this is a well-written book, packed with lots of wisdom from Jeffrey Hayzlett! It makes me think that one cannot solely depend on a fad to carry on a business, it needs lots of research, and knowledge to make a business successful. One success doesn't guarantee a business would carry on for a longer period. Great book, and entertaining, too!

Is your business alive and breathing? If your business is making money and breathing, then congratulations, it’s alive! However, you’ll want to keep reading past the first chapter to learn important lessons on leadership, marketing, management, selling and customer service techniques you need to soar ahead of your competition.

Won this as a giveaway. Got it in the mail yesterday. Its more for my husband to read since he's part of a family business. He likes it so far. The language is simple, but interesting and the anecdotes are hilarious and to the point. I will write more when we get through it.

I loved this book. I think Jeffrey Hayzlett has a lot of wisdom. The book was well written. Educational and entertaining. The audio version from is also great (the author reads). It made me a Hayzlett fan for sure. I have recommended it to friends.
I won this on first reads.

Very interesting and helpful to any business. It would help companies that are doing well and those that are barely hanging on.
Loved it. Great real-world case studies and Hayzlett's humor keeps it moving right along.
