It was an okay read but I couldn't give it more than 2 stars since I have a big problem with the romance. The romance was the only thing that threw me off everything else was fine. The great thing about this story was the adventure from St. Petersburg to London, England, and lastly, Cairo,Egypt. There were diverse and eccentric characters and I loved the inclusion of different cultures.

The story

3.2 A lot was packed into this 432 pg romance- from Russia to London to Cairo. I'm trying to figure out why I wasn't bowled over by this interesting, well written story. I think it stemmed from Emma,(the heroine desperate to find her kidnapped sister) I liked her but not all of her character traits seemed to be consistent.

Namun tiba-tiba suatu hari Anya lenyap.

Emma, seorang gadis Rusia, kehilangan seorang adik bernama Anya.

So far I'm not impressed. It's like she got sucked into formula writing and has lost the passion I usually see between her characters.

So much of the passion from her earlier books was missing in this one. With the rigid point of view rules in force today the writing was almost sterile with the adherence to one point of view per scene.

Scoundrel's Honor by Rosemary Rogers
Dangerous Crime Overlord Aids A Lady In Need.................

Dimitri Tipova, crime overlord in St. Petersburg, Russia, agrees to aid the impossible Emma Linley-Kirov in the search for her abducted younger sister for one reason - revenge against the man who fathered him and killed his mother, but the young woman enchants the dangerous scoundrel like no other has done before.
Emma, to his chagrin, wants no part of his generous offer to become his mistress, and

This is a solid historical romance with the advantage of being set in an uncommon milieu to make sense as they travel. The book is set with two POVs - one of the hero and one of the heroine. This gives the author a chance to present feelings and motivations in a more well rounded way. Note that the POV isn't first person, though.

In all, I enjoyed the descriptions of Russia and appreciated that the author took us to a pla

Predictable and Less Than Interesting

The first two books in this series were not as predictable as this one, but while the other two kept the reader wondering what would happen next, this one left no excitement about what would happen next. Decent read if you've read the first two, but not one that I would recommend reading the series to get to.

I have read many of Rosemary Rogers books.....I have read many historical romances and this is the same as expected with a Russian twist...the men are gorgeous with golden eyes and the main female is feisty, tiny and looking for love in all the wrong places! This book is very typical of the genre...but these books are great when you just want to escape and not have to concentrate on detailed plots....great light read.

4.5 bintang buat dimitri yg ngejar2 si emma sambil memberantas perdagangan budak
Tapi gak suka dengan kemunculan bangsawan arab yg ikutan ngejar2 si emma. Melelahkan !
Gak jadi kasih 5 bintang.

The description of the areas and the travel from St. Petersburg to London to Cairo was interesting even the need to stop a criminal element was all intensely entertaining. However I am sorry to say that I found Emma to be tediously annoying.

THREE AND A HALF STARS!!

Thought I'd make that evident AA goodreads doesn't allow for partial star reviews.

Good story. Faltered on endings of Russian surnames--yes it bugged me. Also, what has become of Anya? And will Rajih get his own story (hopefully not with Anya)?

Fairly typical romance with a forceful woman and a forceful man. The main difference is the locale. The characters start in Russia then move to England then move to Egypt and then end the story in Russia. Of course the man and the woman end up together.

Too much repetition, not enough smut. Where are the brutal asshole heroes for which Ms. Roger's is so well known? Dmitri, Schmitri.
