He has tried hard to forget her.

Kev Merripen has longed for the beautiful, well-bred Winnifred Hathaway ever since her family rescued him from the brink of death when he was just a boy. But this handsome Gypsy is a man of mysterious origins—and he fears that the darkness of his past could crush delicate, luminous Win. So Kev refuses to submit to temptation…and before long

As for showing Win in labor and not Amelia, probably because she was the main character of this book and/or because she was the one everyone was afraid for because of her condition, so her giving birth and surviving was more interesting than Amelia giving birth, which also must have happened sometime between the last chapter and the epilogue.(less)

"If you marry me, you'll never be a lady of position." "There is no better position for me than being your wife."-Kev and Win

OMG I loved Kev and Win's book!!!! I loved everything about their story. Going into this book I knew it was going to be angsty and it was. But it wasn't so angsty that it was torture to read. The push/pull of Kev and Win's relationship was emotional and gripping and made it all the more sweet when they got together. I can see now just

First Book: Mine Till Midnight

Third Book: Tempt me at Twilight
Fourth Book: Married by Morning

Hurray, another great romance :) Merripen was the mysterious man of the bunch so I was so excited to get to read his back-story. It wasn't as rocky since I knew all of the characters this time around, but everything mentioned in book one that was of importance to Win and Merripen's relationship is mentioned in this book. It leads me to believe that this series doesn't

I'm on a winning streak with these Lisa Kleypas books--5 Wallflowers books and now 2 Hathaways--and all were FABULOUS! I know I'm pretty easy to please, but I am loving every word of these two series!

There's oodles of great reviews for this book, so I'll just give some of my thoughts...

OMG, the 'gypsy' Kev Merripen has got to be the all-time most stubborn hero in all of Romanceland! His I'm-not-good-enough-for-you and I-don't-deserve-you attitude drove me bonkers so many times in this book! I th

Ms. Kleypas has managed to impress me yet again. She writes some of the most beautiful, most romantic love stories I've ever read. And this one is up there on my list of premier Lisa Kleypas novels. Seduce Me at Sunrise has one of those love affairs that is so intense and enduring, how could I possibly not love it? Kev Merripen fell in love with Win Hathaway even before he saw her. The Hathaways took him in when he was found badly injured and left for dead, despite him being a Gypsy. They nursed ...more

Forever together and yet always apart.....

WOW, just WOW! I absolutely loved this! Seduce Me At Sunrise is a beautiful, evocative, sensual, moving, and lush romance of forbidden love, powerful yearning, and long-denied desire between two star-crossed souls. Although dark, cold, hardened, mysterious gypsy Kev Merripen and sweet, fair, innocent, well-bred Winnifred Hathaway might appear to be opposites, they've shared an intrinsic bond and deep love for each other sinc

Generally, I'm not a fan of tortured heroes. Sure, I love my rakes and my deep, dark, brooding souls, but enough already, I hated Wuthering Heights the first time around, I don't want another Heathcliff in my reading repertoire. Heathcliff and Cathy can go die (har har har). This entire book is not a happy one, but it is so poignant and beautifully written that I have never regretted reading it or rereading it (for the 5th time).

First of all, i like the way everyone of them feels about all the other members of the family.

The more Lisa Kleypas novels I read, the more I really wish for a time machine. But only if I was able choose which heroes I could visit. Kev would be first on my list… well, in the top 10, anyway. What a wonderful, amazing, incredibly tortured soul he possessed. I really found no fault in him at all because all of his actions and reactions were based in the reality of the child he was and the man he became. Everything he did, no matter the emotional or physical pain it caused him was truly was

Honestly, historical Romance is not the kind of book I normally read because I have no luck with this genre every now and then. But there is an exception when it comes to Lisa Kleypas. Her HR books never fail me, I really enjoyed most of them, especially this one!

I still have a sappy smile on my face! "Seduce Me at Sunrise" is one of the best historical romances I've read this year starring one of the most tortured heroes. This 2nd book in Lisa Kleypas' 'Hathaways' series brings us the story of the wild Rom boy, Kev Merripen, and his journey to love with Winnifred Hathaway.

Winnifred has loved Kev since the day he came into her home when she was still a young child. Her understanding and care of the feral boy hasn't made living with this love any easier,

If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would.
It has been years since I have read a Lisa Kleypas novel. I admittedly get stuck on a certain type of genre at times, and honestly stopped reading historical novels for a while. When I had the opportunity to read Seduce Me at Sunrise I jumped at the chance. Knowing that I have loved Lisa’s books in the past, I wondered if the magic was still there. It is. I had forgotten the lyrical way she tells a story. I forgot her addictive storylines and h

Book 2 in the Hathaways is better than book 1 but not great like some of her other series. The writing is very good as usual, she has an incredible talent for bringing words to life without being flowery or “over-writing” a scene especially when it comes to describing the setting, and the steam is steamy but you have to wait a while to get to it and the getting there gets frustrating (not in a good way either). LOVED IT.

The second book in the Hathaways series was incredibly moving and somewhat somber. It was also much more angsty than LK's usual fare, and for that reason among many others, I loved it. It has earned a place on my forever favourites shelf.

Here, we get Merripen's( Kev ) and Winn's story. Having grown up with the Hathaways, Kev and Winn's enduring and complicated love was long overdue. Having Cam Rohan enter the fold and marry into her family, Winn decides she needs to improve her health i

I looove Merripen and the lower status man/higher status woman trope. I even have a special shelf for these type of HR titles.

In this book, Winnifred and her Gypsy Merripen have chemistry--hot hot hot (unlike the first book where there was neither believable connection nor chemistry!).

This book was sooo much better than the first installment of the series.

I love Merripen!!!

Unfortunately, Seduce Me at Sunrise did not quite charm me the way Mine Till Midnight, the first novel in this delightful historical romance series, did. While both novels feature the unconventional Hathaways, strong family ties, and an impeccable grasp of each character personality on part of Kleypas herself, giving each character an extremely distinct and three-dimensional voice, I found Seduce Me at Sunrise to be a little lacking. Ultimately, it all boils down to the fact that I didn't quite ...more

This book was so much better than the first one in the series. I mean, I loved Cam, but there was something big missing between the 2 characters in the first book. Well this was not the case in the second book. I loved it.

I liked Win a lot. Everyone thinks that she's a delicate and fragile young woman but this is far from the truth. She's strong, stubborn and ready to live her life as she wants. She loves Kev since she was a girl and she is determined to fight for him.

(This is a review of the audiobook.) This was a “re-read via audio” for me. I can’t believe how much I had forgotten about Kev and Win’s love story. I have always enjoyed the appearance of these two in the other books in the Hathaways series more than in their own volume. However, on listening to the elegant Rosalyn Landor narrator this one, it is kicked up a star. She is so versatile on the voices and the infection of tones and nuances for the many dramas t

“I love you, he thought, looking at Win. I love every part of you, every thought and word...the entire complex, fascinating bundle of all the things you are. I want you with ten different kinds of need at once. I love all the seasons of you, the way you are now, the thought of how much more beautiful you'll be in the decades to come. I love you for being the answer to every question my heart could ask.” 302 likes
“Glaring at the doctor, Kev spoke in Romany. “Ka xlia ma pe tute.” (I'm going to shit on you.)

“Which means,” Rohan said hastily, “ ‘Please forgive the misunderstanding; let's part as friends.’ ”

“Roughly translated,” Rohan said, “that means, ‘May your garden be filled with fine, fat hedgehogs.’ Which, I may add, is considered quite a blessing among the Rom.”
