Give a SEAL an inch, and he’ll take your heart.

An Out of Uniform story.

Lieutenant Will Charleston has waited fifteen long years to show up as anything other than a one-pixel blip on Mackenzie Wade’s romantic radar. If a powerful storm is what he needs to send her into his arms, he’ll take it. Once the hot sex is over, though, she seems determined to kick him right back int

4 stars – Contemporary Romance/Erotica Novella

A steamy hot quickie read about a sexy, tough Navy SEAL who wants his best friend in his bed (and his heart) where he thinks she belongs, even though she’s staunchly determined to keep things platonic.

Will has wanted Mackenzie for 15 long years, and after she gets depressed and drunk over yet another bad breakup and kisses Will, he sees the slip-up as a go green light to finally take things further between them. Mac harbors feelings for Will too, b
It is the story of Will and Mackenzie who are best friends for fifteen years. Will always wanted more, and though Mac feels the same, she doesn’t admit it even to herself, and she resists him because she is convinced that Will wouldn’t stand the difficulties that come with her accursed physic abilities. But Will is determined to prove her wrong, and “to teach her the meaning of tenacious.”

Well, I’m getting tired of tall, superhot SEALs wanting a serious relationship with a woman, who doesn’t wan

Recommends it for: Fans of hot romance featuring a sexy Navy SEAL
This was a steamy little quick read (65 pages), a 'friends-to-lovers' story about hunky Navy SEAL Lt. Will Charleston and his 15 year relationship with best friend/jewelry designer/reluctant psychic Mackenzie Wade. Will and Mac have been friends since high school, telling each other everything as best friends do. They both have romantic feelings for each other, but Mac prefers to keep Will at a distance and place him safely in the 'friend' category. But why? Because Will is the one man who is no ...more

The third book in the series, Heat of the Storm, is a slightly angsty but sweet friends-to-lovers trope. I'm very much enjoying this steamy and pure erotic fantasy series.

3.75* Good short story -- a few less than stellar character traits on both the heroine and hero's sides, but overall an interesting read with a lot of steam. Pretty thorough development of the characters stands out for this being a short story. I consider it a real plus for an author to achieve, as to cram enough feeling into so few pages is always very difficult, especially when working with romantica. Lack of story or character development in lieu of the sex scenes is a common pitfall for thes ...more

Yet another book where the male lead is the only reason I can finish reading it. I'm starting to feel like a woman hater, people. =( It's not that I hated the heroine so much as I felt like her reasons for denying Will were ridiculous. "Oh no, I can't be with him because he's my best friend and he's always been there for me!" That shit makes no sense. Um, that's exactly who you should be with, you nut job. She admits that Will has never abandoned her before, but she can't seem to accept that he ...more

These short stories are just the thing for me to read when I need a quick sexy read. The Seals in this series are definitely hotties.
The reason these stories keep getting three stars from me is the fact that with such a short story I can't really get that invested in the characters, and nothing much really happens in these stories.
When I want a fast sexy read though, these are just the thing.

I have to be honest and say that I only finished this book because of Will. He was really a cute guy.

But Mackenzie just on my nerves. She irritated me to no end. All that "I can't because we are friends" thing drove me totally batty.

Of course there's some really hot sex.....I have come to expect this from this series.

Now, on to the next installment!!!!!
4 for the Steam, the Male Hero, and the previous characters.

Why do all of my Military Men Romance stories right now end up having a supernatural element? It's really amusing since I love Urban Fantasy.

IN Urban Fantasy.

Sigh. First Maya Banks, now this series. It rather annoyed me just because it felt out of place.

The heroine Mac annoyed me as well because her reasons for not wanting to be with Will our hero was really flimsy. "Oh no, I can't be with him because he's my best friend and he's always

Books are driven by stories. Stories are made by plot, characters, description. Novellas are very hard to write because of length limit. There are authors who excel, but most are not good with this limit (even when they are great with novels).

This is a story without plot, characters, description. What do you read then? Sex with something in between to keep the flow going. There's nothing that makes you stop being rational and start believing the magic that is writing.

I didn't like this one as much as the last one.

Heat of the Storm centers around Will and Mackenzie, best friends from a young age. Will has loved Mackenzie since they were kids, but Mackenzie has never hinted she wanted anything more than friendship. She flaunted boyfriends, talked to him like the best friend, but never let him be more. Well, he finally wants more.

Mackenzie has only ever had one stable guy in her life: Will. While she knows she loves him, she can't be with him - what if it

Will had me hooked from the very beginning of this book. He was basically everything I want in an alpha hero. Mackenzie (Mac for short, which, ngl, had me confused a lot of the book because I kept reading it as a man's name) wasn't my favorite heroine. I really enjoyed their story, though I'm a sucker for best-friends-to-more. All in all, a cute, fun, sexy read. I'd definitely re-read this one.

“He added a second finger, then a third. Fingered her hard while he tongued her sweet spot until a low groan slipped from her throat and she exploded.”

Well this was a unexpectedly pleasant read. Unexpected because Am not a total fan of "friends forever" to "happily ever after" stories. But Will Charleston pulled this one off.

“Will didn’t need a stitch of clothing to look good. In fact, the man was a female’s wet dream when he was naked.”

And a pretty good dirty talker too!!

Will has ended up in the friend zone with Mackenzie for too long. They have been best friends for the last 15 years. He is ready to prove to her that he can be more than just a friend. And he plays dirty to get her to admit that she wants him too. This is really a fun story and I love the physic abilities that Mackenzie has. Gotta go read the next book in the series

Lieutenant Will Charleston has loved Mackenzie Wade since they were teenagers. For the last fifteen years he's been in the best friend zone and seen her with man after man. It takes only one kiss from Mackenzie to push him over the edge. He's not going to stay in friend zone any more. He's determined to get her to see him as anything but just a friend.

After one hot night she's determined to put him back in the friend zone only to find him determined other wise. She pushes him away only to have

“Wil ?” Her voice shook. “I love you.” His heart did a dumb little flip, but lord, how he loved hearing those three words come out of her mouth. “I love you too, Mac. Always have, always wil .”
“Good. So come home, Wil . Now.”
He grinned. “Yes, ma’am.”
Best Friends until Lieutenant Will finally decides to take matters into his own hands and shows up at Mac s door step and gives her the best sex of her life. Amazing!!! Will loves her and she feels the same way but it will take some sexy encounters,
This one is much the same as the first two. The only reason for reading this is because it is short, fast and sometimes very hot.

This story is Will Charleston and Mackenzie Wade's. Will has been in love with Mackenzie since they were both 15 in high school but he was relegated to the friend zone. Mackenzie is a psychic and has horrible visions. She is unable to change the course of the future even if she has the vision in time. Will has been in love with his best friend - Mackenzie - for fifteen years. Since they were in high school. But she's been adamant about keeping their relationship strictly platonic. Though Will knows about Mac's visions (of the future, and death) and has always been there and supported her, she's afraid that if she gets involved with him he'll end up leaving her after a bad vision.

But after she goes through a bad breakup and kisses Will, things can't ever be the same. Soon she's having visions

In this book we meet Will, a Navy SEAL, who has been in love with his best friend for the past 15 years, Mackenzie. The problem is Mackenzie has him fully in the friend zone because she is afraid that if they step over that line and things don't work out, she will lose Will forever. In a moment of weakness, where they both are finally boyfriend/girlfriend free, Mackenzie gives in to Will for a one night of passion, but Will wants more. Mackenzie also has premonitions which has caused problems wi ...more
My review cross-posted from Joyfully Reviewed:

Will Charleston has wanted Mackenzie Wade from the moment they met back in high school. Fifteen years later, Will is still relegated to the role of best friend; a role he’s tired of playing. With a single kiss, Mackenzie changes everything. It’s the breakthrough Will’s been waiting for, and this time he’s not taking no for an answer.

Mackenzie has come to rely on Will’s friendship and no amount of lust is goin

Very short story, picks up on Will's story with Mackenzie. Who has been stuck in the friend zone for the last fifteen years. So he has alot of asexual aggression to work off. Well that's was my rationalization for how rough he was with her their first time. I'm like okay hurdle that first awkward moment and just manhandle her, well she liked it, so I guess he knew her better than I thought. Mac was irritating as the one not wanting to commit, not admitting that she wanted him or even lived him. ...more

Adorei.

3.5 stars. Will and Mackenzie. My least favorite of this series. It didn't work as well for me as the other books. I think I found Mackenzie less interesting because she lives away from the city and therefore has no other interactions with the other members of the group. She is also psychic, and I don't really enjoy this type of paranormal twist in my otherwise straight up romance story. I did like Will, he was hot, and he and Mackenzie were hot together. I also really liked Holly in this one, s ...more
