You know I really loved this book, it was fresh, original and seemed to somehow put my two favorite genres of books together fantasy and ScFi.
Its about Val a normal girl who gets a summer job in a bookshop. Though soon we find out it isn't just a normal story about a teenage girl, Val discovers a tattoo with strange symbols has miraculously appeared on her arm and thats where the story takes off.

A combination of fantasy and sci-fi! The Thirteenth combines a lot of elements I love including, fantastical powers, teleportation, bookshops, nerdy references and a whole lot of action!
First thoughts:
1. Love the sarcasm and wit
2. Great action sequences and adventures
3. A bit too fast paced. Things were happening too quickly!
4. Some cheesy moments and dialogue. Not overwhelming throughout the book, but noteworthy.

The synopsis of this book really intrigued me, and I was excited that the plot and story line took me on an awesome adventure!

i thought it was awesome alittle fast but i just couldnt put it down from the minute i picked it up i just instantly connected with val and working in a book shop is my dream job so i cant wait to read what happens next

For a self published author,this book is pretty impressive. A kickass book by a kickass author with the romance of Twilight,the magic of Harry Potter and the scifiness of Star Wars.

Although I thought this book was poorly written I did find it entertaining. I went along with the time and space jumping and the witchcraft. But Aliens! The last chapter turned the corner to ridiculous.
