I had read a bit of Strauss a long time ago when I read more political theory. He was a complex thinker and a challenging read, but if you like classical political theory he is a key person. My interest in him was reawakened during the second Iraq war, when his name started to get linked to the positions of some of the neoconservatives, such as Wolfowitz.
