tarod can master my time whenever he wants.

I am really enjoying revisiting Louise Cooper's Time Master trilogy. I reread the first, The Initiate, way back in 2009 and it's taken until now for me to get on to the second book. (I'm rather embarrassed to see exactly how long that gap really was.) It didn't matter in the least as I remember plenty enough of the first book to jump into this one easily.

It was actually reading N. K. Jemisin's The Broken Kingdoms that gave me the push I needed to pick this one up (figuratively speaking since I r

This is the one. I've been in love with this book for years. Right now, if I could I would read it one more time. Unfortunately, it's in my house back in Spain so I'll have to wait until September... sigh...

Nevermind that, let me tell you about this book. I'll do my best to let any spoilers out, ok? So, in the last book Tarod is forced to stop time in order to evade his death in hands of the people he thought were his family, friends and love.
Feeling their betrayal break his heart he hides himse

I just loved this trilogy of books. A cracking story, told at a fine pace and made all the more interesting by the fact that the views on the two opposing forces (Order and Chaos) are not as you might expect :)

I can't really say anything more without revealing spoilers, so suffice to say this is really an excellent, reasonably original fantasy story, highly readable and enjoyable.

Julia Phillips
Picks up where 'The Initiate' ended and introduces new characters to take the plot onto its next phase. Another great volume in the trilogy.

This is one of my favorite fantasy stories of all time. It has a strong, even heavy handed moral at the end, but is a fabulous message nonetheless.

It was a good follow on to the Initiate. Slow at some points but finished strong.

There's a deep sense of foreboding, but really, the plot gets obscured in bits.

Louise Cooper was born in Hertfordshire in 1952. She began writing stories when she was at school to entertain her friends. She hated school so much, in fact—spending most lessons clandestinely writing stories—that she persuaded her parents to let her abandon her education at the age of fifteen and has never regretted it.

She continued to write and her first full-length novel was published when she
