When Sluggo cruises online chat rooms, he isn’t looking for a hook-up; he’s looking for love. But love has a way of being elusive, especially when you’re not being honest. Presenting himself as “Sir Raven,” Sluggo promises his chat room cohorts he’s the “master of the night.”

And then he meets someone who challenges him -- someone who claims the title “master of the night”

This was a great, short read and exactly what I needed today. This author has a tendency to have the reader expecting one thing but getting something else entirely. You’ll think you know what’s about to happen, but you’ll be wrong. That’s one of the reasons I keep going back again and again to Rick R. Reed’s books. They are always entertaining and could never be called predictable.

Highly recommended if you’re looking for something quick, a bit creepy, and if you don

4 stars - Rick Reed is a masterful storyteller whether he's writing horror, suspense, or romance or any combination thereof. I'm not going to say much about Sluggo Snares a Vampire 'cause I really don't want to ruin it for anyone. But if you're a fan of Rick Reed's and like a sizzling good short story then may I suggest you give this one a try?

You won't forget it in a hurry!

Shelves: gay-romance, vampire
A short horror story about Sluggo, a gay chatroom addict, and the vampire he meets online. Not bad for a short story.

VERY short story (30 pages the PDF)
VERY scary, but also full of humor
VERY good, and I certainly recommend it!!!!
I'm just taking one start because of the title... It ruin the suspense! Why tell the reader, before it, what the mysterious guy is?

So, anyway, I recommend it to horror readers, and people searching an unusual vampire story.

Well done... And creepy story deserve my creepy applause

This was really short, but well done. Sometimes in really short works the characters don't come across well because there's no time to build them up or develop a rapport with them. Rick's characters came across very well, even Sluggo's frustration and lack of self esteem were made clear.

A creepy short story with a funny/sad-but-true reflection on online encounters. Reed's writing instantly engages. Liked TepesAllure with his biting (heh) humour.
