This sounds really boring but it's cool. It takes nature's paradoxes and phenomenons and explains the physics behind them. An introductive knowledge of physics and chemistry is helpful, but it dumbs it down pretty well.
A great compilation of paradoxes and just plain phenomenons. This book was one of the resources I used to get to the California State Science Fair.
