Lady Fred is one of my all-time favourite heroines. She has the logic of a Vulcan, if you can excuse the comparison. She also suffers from literalitis, answering the question asked not the one meant. This book also introduces the Executioner of Bow Street, the dread dark discerner of dastardly deeds. For a murder mystery with laughter, I cannot recommend this book too highly.
