This book had a nice story, but I felt the end didn't do the book justice. It ended too soon and it felt like there was more to be said. In all, I think it was a good reading but to those who like a nice ending (like me) it will leave you dissatisfied.

Absolutely brilliant!

Matthew and Jane are Defense Attorneys working on the same law firm, when a complicated case arises. Their bosses gave them no chance but to work through it together, in spite of their mutual resistance to do it.
I like C. J. Carmichael a lot. Her writing is so accurate and easy to read. This story is a good example of that. The romance between the main characters grows through the pages, the same as the mystery around the case. The side story of Matthew's family impact beca

Loved it loved it! Obviously written in the era before numerous sexual encounters consumed romance novels. Balanced treatment of two lesser liked professions and acts - lawyers and pedophilia. Wonderful story...greater character development. Don't want to include spoilers in an attempt to indicate what a good read this book is.
It was good, but the ending was too fast.
