I didn't particularly enjoy this. It sounded good but the writing didn't end up being anything to write home about.

The author repeated herself a lot, basically rewriting scenes with a few changes and different characters saying the same things. And the characters who said the same things over and over did so in the same way. Or two characters would do the same thing. It was irritating.

Good read. The cover copy does a pretty good job of describing the plot and it's handled nicely by Lovelace. But then, that's to be expected, because it's Merline freakin' Lovelace. Everything she does (that I've read anyway) is good stuff. The suspense is suspenseful, the romance is romantic and it's a good book. I missed having much angst in it-- she tried, but it's a... Special Edition, I think. Not much room for extraneous angst. I liked it.
