This book appears to be written from a place of looking back, so much of the content is so realistic that I couldn't really appreciate it. I ended up skipping some words because it forced me to draw upon my own emotions in dealing with the loss of a loved one.

This story of letting go of the past in order to move forward was what Quinn and Rae dealt with. I must admit that I found Quinn to be annoying and wouldn't have the patience Rae displayed. Hurt and pain are not so easily dealt with but it

I read this book twice and first time I was just going through the motions, the second time I sat up and paid attention. I actually rooted for Quinn to let go and let me, I was rooting for him and Rae to succeed and got a peek into Maxine's life (which is forever a treat). The entry of Vera, the love Maxine had for Taylor, the joy that Jamel and the patience and love of Rae all played a part in Q's rebirth.
