I'd say that this is sheldon's best book. Among all of his books, this was the one that could drop my jaw down..haaa. I remembered reading this book during my grammar class, since i could not put it down even for a single second. In the end i was kicked out of the class because unconsciously i was gasping very loudly. Sheldon really put the story in a stunning and excellent way. The plot, starting from the beginning, the climax, till the end was really well written. You would never have guessed th...more

This is another masterpiece of Sheldon. This book is full of psychological brain game. Sheldon described the alters with very good tricky ideas. I should use my imagination as good as my logic mind to find out what the issues really were. I still couldn't find another fiction book which tells Multiple Personality Disorder as clear as Sheldon's "Tell Me Your Dreams". It even helped to understand MPD when I took psychology in university! ;p

I own this book for myself, Indonesian version, and had re...more

First off, I really don't know how to start, I didn't write a review right away 'cause I was speechless. This is another book you simply cannot put down (even for just a little bit). Anyway, I'll start with the usual. :> Tell Me Your Dreams is a 1998 psychological thriller by the well-known American author, Sidney Sheldon.

The mystery in this novel lies within a woman named Ashley Patterson and her past. It’s better to say less about the story. I might spoil it too much and you wouldn't like i...more

I was quite familiar with Sidney Sheldon's novels since I was in the junior high school. By familiar, I mean I've been knowing his famous name with dozens of bestseller book yet didn't have any interest to even try to read some of his books. Not until my husband eagerly introduced it to me and showed me how he'd been impressed by the Sheldon's novels.

So at first, I tried to please him by reading one of the Sheldon's novel he had recommended me, "Tell Me Your Dream". This eventually marks the fi...more

Ashley Patterson is a brainy and gorgeous "computer whiz" with a cushy job at a fast-growing start-up computer graphics company in Silicon Valley. She is lonely, shy, and lives a life that is unfulfilling to her. She is also absolutely convinced that someone is stalking her. Toni Prescott and Alette Peters are both co-workers of Ashley's, however the similarities end there.

Toni is a saucy, British vixen with a penchant for Internet dating and dancing at discotheques. 'La bella Italiana' Alette...more

I have to confess that I'm really not a fan of Sidney Sheldon's works. The thing he writes isn't just my cup of tea. But I can honestly say that I really like Tell Me Your Dreams. That's because there's a touch of psychology in here.

Psychology's holy grail plus murder equals a masterpiece! I can say that Sidney Sheldon is a good writer because of this book.

I remember being amazed of how Sidney Sheldon narrated this novel. Where everything at first is confusing and gradually it all becomes clear...more

This story is about the women, Ashley Patterson, who suffer the multiple personalities disorder. She have a two seperated different personalities, Toni Prescott who is a very aggrasive girl and Alette Peters who is a shy and kind girl. Both of them was created when Ashley was raped by her father, Dr. Steven Patterson, who is famous doctor in the world.

This story is divided in three part. First part is related to the story of murder by Toni and then, in the second part, author narrated that how...more

I picked up this book cuz I am a BIG HUGE SUPER fan of Sidney Sheldon. If you want a book you can't put down, his is the best shelf in the library. So, obviously, I was expecting nothing less than perfect from the book.
And, this novel matched, no, went beyond all the pre-set standards! The story is about a girl with a multiple personality disorder..And she's completely unaware of it. The book goes through three stages: One, the girl, and her multiple conflicting personas, get involved in a horri...more

The best Sidney Sheldon novel by far, and I have read quite a few in my days, when life was all about sneaking novels into the dorms and reading them under blanket covers. A feat feasible through generosity of friends who were days-scholars and made them available for reading

I just finished reading the Book 1. Amazing Climax! A++
Everything was un-expected.

The best thing about Sheldon is that - He never fluffs (unlike twilight). Every page contains at least 1 major incident. I was actually unable to keep the book down.

"Tell me Your Dreams" by Sidney Sheldon was another fun read. I have a friend that has suggested that I ought to read some lighter material for a while. She gave me a stack of books from authors like Sidney Sheldon and Clive Cussler. So far, they have been improbable in plot development. I find that I can hardly endear myself to any of the main characters, because they are barely even one dimensional. And so what...I've enjoyed reading them.
"Tell me Your Dreams" is about a woman with a proble...more

Tell Me Your Dreams is a first thriller novel for me. Tell Me Your Dreams was written by sideny sheldon in the year of 1998.

lets begin the review……

Tell Me Your Dreams- This title attracted me to read this book. And its thriller story too. So i just got into. I would found out Anniyan Movie is copied if i read this novel before 2000(which is not possible 90%). Yup, I.

This book’s Core is MPD. I really got much interested upto 90 pages. after that slowly the slower part becomes out. Particularly th...more

This psychological thriller kept me poised on the edge of my seat, turning the pages frantically, while I grappled to solve the mystery that lies at its core. I loved Sheldon’s fast-paced plot and racy writing style in this novel, which, based on real cases, really hooked me in from the first page. My favourite character has to be David – the young attorney who finds himself somewhat reluctantly responsible for representing the defendant in what becomes one of the most bizarre trials of the cent...more

Well, I’m totally aware that there are several books written by Sidney Sheldon which is enough proof of how successful he’s been so far, unfortunately, I may have to say differently for Tell Me Your Dreams in certain aspects. The plot was unique and though it was a bit short, it was a good read. Aside from thriller and mystery, the book did discussed psychological issues and even had a major court scene in the later chapters.

But I didn’t like how the killings were described so curtly which basi...more

Tell Me Your Dreams is so gripping that I have to take a lot of time to keep it out of my mind. It really is a page-turner and has a brain twisting plot. Maybe you are wondering why I have to take some time let it out of my mind? Well, the story is so believable, that it's haunting me. The plot of having a multiple personality and how the character got it is so just a perfect thriller. Sidney Sheldon, bless his soul, not only sees the hidden desires and power of women but also the weakness and s...more

excellant could not put the book down. Three beautiful young women-Ashley, Toni, and Alette- are all suspected of committing a series of brutal murders. The police make an arrest which leads to one of th e most bizarre murder trials of the century and a defense based on a startling but authenic piece of medical history. In the beginning of the story you think it is three different women co-workers for the same company. one shy the other more outgoing, the other one is an artist. but as the story...more

This is one of the best books I've ever come across till now. I loved the story, loved the way Sidney Sheldon carved the plot and twisted it into an interestingly mysterious suspense that unfolded into a baffling truth. Tell Me Your Dreams is a suspense thriller that kept me on edge with curiosity, thrill and anticipation.

Murders in cold blood and all the evidence pointing at three women unaware of what they were accused of. Who would have guessed that Toni and Alette were no real person but a...more

Back in the 80's, I was a fan of Sheldon as an author. Rage of Angels was my favorite of his novels. This one is mediocre, dealing with multiple personality disorder (MPD). The ending didn't seem realistic enough. It was fast-moving and kept my interest enough to want to finish it. I won't knock it too bad, I picked it up for a dollar at the St. Vincent de Paul second-hand store in the Wisconsin Dells, looking for some beach reading books.

Probably the best of Sheldon's. It's one of those book that I couldn't put down until the very last page. Its surely is a page turner.

I don't want to write here what the book is about. It is better to find it out yourself. I highly recommend this to everyone who likes suspense. One of the best, really!

one of the best psycho thrillers i have come across.....hats off to mr.sheldon for such a complex yet brilliant piece of writing....just the ending at times seemed to be happening a bit too quickly....else....a gripping plot and some out of the world characterization ...

This book was originally published in 1998, which means that since then, I've read other books with the same idea as this story, and I was able to figure out the plot right away. More than anything, I feel the author wanted to bring attention to this disorder.

What I liked about this book, was the fast paced, short scenes that got to the point. I was drawn in from the first page, and really, I couldn't put this book down.

What I didn't like, was that I thought all the characters were really flat....more

I love Ashley Patterson with all her madness, weirdness, creepiness, her split personalities and her MPD.

It is the best book of Sidney Sheldon with a story that is never going to leave your memories. A frantic page-turner, this book is.

okay, i admit it's a page turner (of course it is, it's by sidney sheldon). however, i don't think it's one of his best work. very predictable and the story telling, particularly at the last few pages, is not as good as i expected.

Was an American writer who won awards in three careers—a Broadway playwright, a Hollywood TV and movie screenwriter, and a best-selling novelist. His TV works spanned a 20-year period during which he created I Dream of Jeannie (1965-70), Hart to Hart (1979-84), and The Patty Duke Show (1963-66), but it was not until after he turned 50 and began writing best-selling novels such as Master of the Gam...more
