On the cover of “The Doctor Is In: A 7-Step Prescription for Optimal Wellness” by Travis Stork, M.D. With William Doyle, the book claims “The host of TV's 'The Doctors' shows you how to improve your health, feel stronger and more energetic, live longer!” I think the book does just that and a lot more. In this easy to read and understand book, Dr. Stork shows how to transform your own health in seven simple steps with his straight forward honest advice.

I've seen “The Doctors” a few times and I l

Much of the info in the book is common sense (diet and exercise) but the chapter on mastering the medical process is a good guide for taking control of your health care. The Q&A's are helpful, and the Dr's final take on each item helps you understand where the research is conclusive and where it is not, and his opinion based on facts and experience.

writing style, for me, was a bit dry. However, I had a few a-has. I love that he makes a point of saying "enjoy". I loved that he said that the quality of the food you are ingesting is the quality of your life - in the next x hours, next x days, next x years. I loved that he puts down that you need to find joy in exercising. I forgot that physical movement is FUN.
A lot of the book is a way of looking at things and a philosophy of how to approach your health.

Excellent guide to taking the best care of your body with topics like being your own health guru, eating to savor life, giving your body a daily vacation, nailing your health stats, mastering the medical process, opening your mind to alternatives and making a positive mind-body connection. I now use many of the tips I learned from this informative book.

Not blown away by this one. Unfortunately, I didn't find any information or tips in here that I hadn't heard elsewhere many times over.
