This book is helpful in the "avoid this tourist trap" kind of way. She definitely has opinions, and they're fun to read while planning. One thing that bugs me a bit is that in the accommodations section, her ratings for costs start at the high end...the "cheap" accommodations start at 75 pounds. Of all the books I read in preparation for my trip to London, this was the most helpful. It wasn't just because of the money-saving tips though. There were plenty of tips that weren't included in any of the other books (ex: have cash on hand because not all public restrooms are free), all of which proved accurate.
I liked the format of this (although I like most Frommer's travel guides). As I have been to London multiple times I found it recommended some nice "non-touristy" things to do. I did have a problem with the maps - I couldn't ever find any maps to help me when I needed them.
Really informative, fairly exhaustive, and genuinely budget-oriented, although covering a satisfying span as well.

A great resourse for dining.
