This book was dark and disturbing..one of those books that you will think about for the rest of your life. It really shows just how brutal the third world is and how hated we Americans are. I cried for the animals that suffered abuse at the hands of Mexicans throughout the novel. Every American should read this book.

After reading 112 pages, I am giving up on this book. The characters are mysterious but I don't care to figure them out. Maybe if I stuck with this for another 50 pages, things would change, but at this point the book is way too boring and a bit off kilter.
