Useful addition to the literature on consumer culture, music, commercialization, subcultures, that kind of thing -- I particularly appreciate the lucid links between culture and larger economic and sociopolitical shifts.

Pretty good, since I am writing a review for this. I'll need to think up bad things to say, but really it was a mix of teenaged nostalgia and theoretical perspectives on culture following the likes of Adorno and the BCCCS

Found this to be pretty interesting. Very textbook-ish. Ryan jumped right into our world and viewed it from a socio-political stance. I also enjoyed it because I am in it!
