There were some aspects of this story I really enjoyed, but a few things that bugged me bringing it to 4 stars. I loved that they knew each other from work for such a long time. It gave the relationship more credence. I loved that Donovan knew so much about Craig. Knowing the little details shows that somebody really cares. I liked how they hooked up in the beginning. I didn't like when Donovan ignored Craig at work all day after their first night together. Seemed a bit immature on Donovan's par...more

The relationship between Donavan and Craig is very well brought out in this steamy romance/erotic tale. I enjoyed how although Donavan is the dom, he is still willing to be utterly honest with Craig and give him all the reassurance he needs to feel confidence about the longevity of the relationship. I also found Craig's vulnerability touching.

FUN!! Kim Dare is sure good at quality characters, even in a short romp like this. And thanks to my friend Blade for another solid recommendation.
I absolutely adored Donovan's attempts to convince Craig that he really did want a relationship with him and wasn't just flirting or fooling around!

Should have been longer...
Cute and all, yet I didn't buy in to the pairing. It feels like Craig's getting in to something he doesn't understand, without informed consent. I think what really bothers me about this story is I don't get any sense of happiness from either of the partners. I definitely get smug satisfaction from Donovan, and a bit of dream come true from Craig, but I get the feeling it's not even a happy-for-now; it's a sex-for-now.
No real BDSM here, but a lot of talking and promising on Donovan's part. Craig is either extremely slow (How many times can Donovan repeat himself? He does it on every page, sometimes twice. Angel of a man, really) or had some very bad experience in the past, so much so that he seems to be in need of a shrink. What does Donovan see in him? Have NO clue. Skimmed through a lot of pages. 2.5 stars.
Sweet'n'kinky m/m romance about a serious guy who has a crush on his fickle coworker and places a personals ad in an attempt to get the coworker off his mind.
It's a twisted little tale.. or should I say a tale with a twist. Nice quick bedtime read if you are attracted to the shelves it is in.
