I got this book from ARe. I saw it had a committed menage and a preggo heroine and that is a trope I love. I realized by chapter 2 that I might have a problem with it. Too much of the premise was a pale imitation of the Colters series by Maya Banks. Three brothers all looking for a Ms. Right to share. They find her, she gets pregnant, then shot. They take her home to their family mountain to recover. The brothers have 3 dads (2 brothers+1cousin) and that's how they knew that sharing a wife is wh ...more

When reading a book like this, I don’t really expect there to be much depth to the characters or the storyline, but I was pleasantly surprised by how fond I became of the brothers, Michael, Trevor and Cody. There was something very vulnerable about them and yet, very strong and capable. They’d been waiting for so many years to find that one woman who could love them all and who they could love in return, someone who would accept their very unorthodox lifestyle, not just as some kinky sex

Growing up without love, Poppy Maguire has taken everything thrown at her with stride. When her fiancee leaves her after a miscarriage, it is just another negative that she pushes aside, her only bright spot lately is the friendship she has begun to build with Cody, Michael and Trevor Paraby. The three brothers are in town and have befriended her, she knows there reputation with women but they have not pressed her into anything more than friendship. When an incident leaves her needing comfort, s ...more

I think the author has potential, but this effort fell just a bit short for me. The first half was choppy and I felt a disconnect. I would be anticipating that something was going to happen...a conflict, a surprise, whatever...and then the story moved on and I was left disappointed. The second half certainly flowed better and was more enjoyable. As another reviewer mentioned, the brothers were easy to like. Not perfect, but with some qualities that made them realistic. The character of Poppy, ho ...more

In some ways, this story reminds me a bit of Colter’s Woman by Maya Banks. For example, I found the same dedication of the men toward the heroine. The same passion and commitment. It is also three heroes in both stories. In both, I found this sweetness and romance and I felt equally in love with all the heroes.

But the comparison stops here. In Poppy’s passions, the heroine is definitely a strong heroine. She is not helpless and looking for protection. She ha

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I initially began reading Poppy’s Passions by Stephanie Beck because I love ménage stories. I was expecting a lot of hot, steamy sex, but I got so much more than I had hoped. Not only did this book leave me hot and bothered, but I was pleasantly surprised by how emotionally riveting the story was. Once I started reading, I could not put the book down.

A decent story. It was fun watching the relationships develop between Poppy and the brothers. It wasn't that emotionally engaging, though. And the sex, while fairly detailed, feels out of place with the general tone of the story. Instead of being a turn-on, it was just...awkward.

This was a toughie for me. There were parts that I liked but to be honest it was difficult to get through. I felt like this was a "take off" of Maya Bank's Colters' series. I also felt like some of the details she wrote were not necessary and bordered on being totally gross.

I was pleasantly surprised. It was deeper than I expected. Poppy is fairly well adusted considering her family and upbringing. The brothers are strong yet vulnerable and not afraid to let Poppy see it.
Looking forward to more from this author.

I absolutely adored this book! Whether you’re a massive fan of ménage, or even if it isn’t usually your thing, let me tell you that this is one you really shouldn’t miss! And I’ll definitely be reading more by this author because Ms Stephanie Beck can write! As in, I was so caught up in this story I totally lost all sense of time and place.

Now, we have Poppy, who is the kind of heroine you're rooting for straight away. She’s not perfect and she has family issues, and within the first page your

This is my second Stephanie Beck book, and I loved it. It can get complicated in a poly-amorous story keeping track of all of the different characters. But in this case all three heros were believable, enjoyable and had their own personalities. While I still don't completely understand from the male perspective why 3 would want to share one woman, I love the romance, the hot couple and group sex, and mostly how cherised the heroine is throughout the whole story. Who wouldn't want all of that nur ...more

Ok read. Kind of fell a little flat for me. A couple of holes in the time line that were a little confusing. Liked Poppy. Liked the brothers, and I also liked how they weren't absolutely "perfect". I don't think I have ever read a romance where a hero had "a little stomach"! I enjoyed the brothers family, and liked the tension with puppy's relatives. I was confused whey her ex thought the baby was his--even if she didn't miscarry, couldn't he figure that out by counting months--he's a doctor!

I loved this book, it was a great emotional read and enjoyed from start to finish.

I loved the brothers, they all have there faults but they all have there strengths too, they made mistakes and sometimes they handled things in just the right way.
Poppy was a interesting character and considering her background, was still a caring, strong person when she allowed herself to be. She didn't always handle situations well but had a forgiving heart when needed.

I loved this story! It is hard not to like the Paraby brothers, and Poppy is perfection. I can completely identify with her character. Vulnerable but independent is hard to pull off, but Poppy does it well. I am definitely a sucker for romantic menage stories, and this has to be one of my favorites. At the end of this book you will have no doubts about the love between these characters. This is a beautiful story!

Fun. Interesting relationship dynamics, though I felt the author could have gone a bit more into how everyone interacted since there seemed to be so much focus on it as an alternate lifestyle. Oh well, still fun.

I thought this was pretty good even though I thought that the drama from Poppy's family and ex were a little over the top, but otherwise, it was a quick read, with a lot of naughty sex in it.

Stephanie Beck is a full time mom, part time writer and ameture speller.

She's been writing since she was fifteen. Her first novel, "Love on the Mats" was a graphic, heartwarming tale of a wrestler and a cutie coed which was lovingly edited by the c-squad basketball team on the long bus rides throughout the season. They were all sure it would be published and it still has a home in a folder...so
