I want to say up-front that while I really enjoyed this book, there are a few plot holes, and some other things that I am sure will bug some readers.
For me, I really liked the book. I liked the first one a lot too, though. The author sounds like she wants to be the next Sherrilyn Kenyon mixed with JR Ward-hey who doesn't? (not in a rip-off kind of way, but in a really cool way).
I really liked our heroine Callia, and I did like Zander, however for what he did, I don't think he groveled enough.(I...more

Quickie Review:
Entwined was a good continuation of the Eternal Guardians series and I loved the main couple, Zander and Callie, and watching them come to terms with their past together while work through some deep and heart wrenching misunderstandings. I also enjoyed the continuing dynamics between the other Guardians and watching the series’ villain’s scheme and plot their evil. But this second book in the series didn’t seem to flow as well as the first book, Marked. The story line was...more

OMFG, this book was simply AMAZING! I don’t know of any other adjectives that can accurately describe this story. Zander & Callia fell in love and discovered that they were soul mates 10 yrs ago. Then they were torn apart by deception, lies & betrayal -this book is about their way back to each other & to finally love again.

I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.....
That was a roller coaster of a book, but had great emotional pull that made you want to not put it down.
I found all the gods more easy to understand being book two, and how my feelings changed about the characthers through the book.
Zander - to me certain aspects of him reminded me of zsadist from bdb - which is no bad thing.
Isadora - she's stronger than others realise, but still lacking personality to me.
Callee - feisty, strong, sexy, won't take being pushed...more

Where do I start to describe the awesomeness of Elisabeth Naughton’s second book in the Eternal Guardian series…..Entwined.
When you have an 800+ year old Argonaut, who believes he is immortal, but is hell bent on finding a way to end his life, you know the story is going to be explosive.
Throw into the mix a rage so all-consuming, that it is used to mask the despair he has suffered for 11 years and you will need to have a very cold heart or tissues on hand when you read this story.

I pretty much devoured this one, but that was to be expected due to the pacing and the story-within-story-within-story juiciness of this book. After this book, Elisabeth Naughton all but cemented her ability and talent as a PNR writer -- I mean the woman handles multiple plots as well as Nalini Singh and dare I say it, better than Sherrilyn Kenyon (Nick's whole time traveling thing has me beyond confused. I am well and truly confuzzled at this point).
So why the 4 stars instead of 5?

Entwined continues much in the same vein as Marked and focuses on Zander. He makes a good tortured soul and the breach with his soulmate is believable. I generally enjoyed the book. If anything I think that it is better than the first. The world building was done in book one leaving more room for story here. I really liked that the Brothers...oh, did I say that...Arghonauts interact more. I like their snarky comments to one another. The women aren't wilting violets and are more than willing to s...more
I'm sure that an eternity alone would be its own hell, especially if you've turned your back on the woman you love and your job is just losing its appeal. Zander feels this all too well. Being a part of the elite band of warriors known as the Eternal Guardians used to be all he needed. Then when he met Callia, the hole he never noticed before, began to fill. For a short while the world was perfect. But sadly, nothing lasts forever. These two soul mates are torn apart by misunderstandings, betray...more
I liked this book. It was... emotional. I really felt for Callia, and for Zander (who, I loved :D) There were a few plot holes, but all in all, I really liked the book.
Some minor things that irritated me; one scene in particular (I won't give too much away) there was a scene between Callia and Zander, and I feel like Zander's character was a bit... forceful, and I think it went against his character. I didn't like it. I mean, it was only one little tiny bit of a scene, where he kinda went a litt...more

I can not believe I am going to say this, but so far this series has captured my like very few others... It has not just peaked my attention but it has grabbed it and won’t let go. I find lately that my reading interests have been leaning towards the links between ancient myths and humans, guardians and immortals and always good vs evil. Elisabeth Naughton's Immortal Guardians hold their own in this particular branch of the PNR Genre. Standing right up there with the heavy weights, like Sherrily...more
This series just keeps getting better and better for me. I love the story as a whole, it is action packed with lots of characters. And Naughton writes with a great sense of humor. Zander and Callia have spent the last decade apart, and for all the wrong reasons. And because of the lies and manipulations of others, they have lost a lot. I don't want to give away any spoilers, so i will just say there are a lot of surprises in this one. And one whopper of a cliff-hanger at the end. Just like the f...more
I’m having such a good time with this Eternal Guardian series. This is only the second book in the series, and hopefully Ms. Naughton is going to be writing a number more about these sexy protectors of humans who have also vowed to keep their world secret and safe from daemons. Amid all that, of course, they find love and we live through the fear, angst, heartbreak, and romance right along with them. What a way to spend an afternoon.

Like the first book in the Eternal Guardians series, Entwined is about the Argonauts and other inhabitants of Argolea, as well as residents on Earth, particularly the Misos who are half-human, half-god. This time around, the story focuses on Zander, the only immortal Argonaut, and Callia, the king’s healer. Though it was hinted at in Marked, we finally learn about their past together and how it could ultimately affect the future of everyone in both worlds.

I was sucked in from the first paragraph, and read this in one sitting. Zander is exactly what I love in a hero. Uber Alpha, but with a vulnerability. He believes himself to be immortal, yet is tired of life. To avoid spoilers, I will only say he pledges himself to a responsibility none of his fellow Argonauts are willing to take on, which gives him a sense of purpose he has been lacking. Enter the conflict in the form of his soul mate, Callia.

This one was better than the first one for me, but I have to wonder about a few things. How many times are we going to have the same reveal that impacts people and their lives? If I see this same plot device in another book in this series I will be done, because really there are so many other things you can go to bring people into the story.
I liked Callia from the start. As you get to know her through the story you realize just how bad she got screwed over, and not just by one person, but my man...more

Let me first say I really like this series already. This is the second novel in the Eternal Guardians series about a group of warriors who are especially gifted for there species. Having descended from Ancient Greek heroes like Odysseus and Achilles, they are the big alphas of the Angolean race.
In this one the king continues with his hair brain scheme to marry off his daughter to a member of the Argonauts; keeping the monarchy and the ruling of the species away from the Council. If you're a fan...more

Bring on the next! I am really enjoying this series...though I'm starting to feel sorry for poor Isadora. She's already been jilted twice now with each guy ending up with a sister she didn't know she had. TAlk about grounds for a complex! She better start praying no more sisters pop out of the woodwork because the number of remaining Argonauts is dwindling. (Can't feel too sorry since we already know the next book is Isadora / Demetrius!) So, Callia and Zander ...I liked their story a lot! So ma...more
Holy crap this book was amazing. I seriously loved it!!! I think I felt every emotion possible while reading it.
Zander and Callia were together for a while 10 years ago. We're not really told in that much detail how this happened. I think like half way through the book she thought about it for a page or two. Anyway that doesn't really matter in this book. In the last book the king's daughter was left by her fiancée seeing as he was the hero of the last book and of course ended up with the heroi...more

I've been pleasantly surprised by this series. I hadn't really heard much going in to it and had no expectations. I've been really pleased with the writing. I liked this book, it was a good read and I found it hard to put down. I didn't care for the heroine. It was easy to read her story - she wasn't that off putting, but I didn't care for her.
