Gestern Abend habe ich innerhalb einer Stunde 90 Seiten gelesen, die restlichen 100 Seiten folgten heute im Laufe des Vormittags und sie wirken immer noch nach. This book is very inspirational! Many children face what Akkie had to go through every day, making our outlook on life changing with every new story that we read. Best book! Live on forever in soccer Akkie!

I think this book can be a great help when children are confronted with terrible things like cancer. It's style is warm and comforting, yet quite realistic. It's a true story, which happend when the author was still a teacher; the way he describes the children and their coping with problems too large to handle, is amazing.

I'm especially proud because my son did a great job when he co-created a very touching (but not sentimental) movie out of this story, which premiered february 2012 in The Nethe...more
