Dept 18 (a mixture of X Files, Medium, and Fringe) meets Demon Eyes (a prior novel). I liked Demon Eyes and Black Cathedral better. This was too chaotic, jumbled and overly complex. It also felt rushed, as if the authors wrote it too quickly and the editors just stamped it on through. I actually enjoyed their other novels, but this one collapsed under its own construction.

It's (pretty much) like Demon Eyes but with other characters. If you like 'sex vampires' then that's fine, but if not, skip.
