Christina Catrevas was a graduate of Mount Holyoke, and included many Mount Holyoke-specific details in her works of college fiction. This book, the start of an intended series that stalled after two books, was published in 1920, but, apart from references to jazz and the flu, it has more in common with college stories from a slightly earlier generation than it does with other books of the '20s.
