A lot of action in this volume, but I can't help but feel like this was something that could have done with a lot more buildup. The newly introduced characters are hard to get to know or like because they're not getting much screen time, the goals in some cases are VERY vague and there's a weirdly rushed feeling about a lot of it. Still, its hard to say no to lots of high action. This was, for me, the most shonen-feeling of the volumes in this series. Make of that what you will.

You're kidding me...this is the next-to-last volume?! What a stunning storyline has started and it's already about to be wrapped up. All the major players at least show up for a cameo, if not an actual role...and secrets are revealed that make a lot of things in this manga's world make a scary lot of sense. I'm really excited to see how these events lead to a conclusion to the series in volume 18! But, of course, I'll also be sad to see such a good series end, as well.
