I will come up with an epic review for this soon. But now I need to do the homework I neglected while I was reading it … teehee!!!

- I find it amusing that this is my 2nd most popular review ... and that I haven't even reviewed it yet. (Oops, I read it almost half a year ago, so I should probably get on that. *headsmack*)

... *AN ETERNITY LATER* ...

Well, I was sad that I had nothing to review, but then I remembered that I never reviewed this and had been meaning More...

Tears came to my eyes when I finished it; it was so AMAZING! I wanted to cry! I still do when I think of how amazing it was! Riordan dives right into the story! Piper's godly parent surprised me but it was pretty cool. Jason's turned out to be what I thought with a little spin. And Leo's was pretty predictable but he has a really awesome power...!!

Riordan perfectly meshes Greek and Roman mythology! It's ingenious the way he does it! It's so cool! You learn so many things! He uses som More...

Oh my godsh. The title's finally been announced. I am now counting down the days, like Mockingjay- 179 days (as of 4/15/10).

Godsh (Oh, have I not explained "godsh?" It's a mix between gods and gosh. I use it in times when I talk about CHB. XD), I am so freaking excited. I think this is going to be about the new prophecy, and I think that Percy and Annabeth will die, die die die.

Just kidding. They're gonna grow up together and make lil half-blood babies- Wait, wrong More...

Has anybody thought of the fact that Percy has an empathy link with Grover? So Grover could, in theory, contact Percy when the latter's still an amnesiac. I wonder if Riordan's thought of this...

Just bought it today! Actually I'm gonna buy the Hunger Games paperback instead since I want my own copy of it but unfortunately it was out of stock and this one caught my eye.

Seven half-bloods shall answer the call,
To storm or fire the world must fall.
An oath to keep with a final breath,
And foes bear arms to the Doors of Death.

New prophecy. New characters. New adventure. Same, EPIC world!!!

Meet our new demigods; Jason, Piper and Leo.
Jason is the mystery in this trio, see he doesn't remember anything, not even who he is. A God has stolen his memories.
Piper has a secret, a terrible one that will only cause pain and suffering More...

Last weekend I drew a 12yr old girl named Ashley(I'm a caricature/portrait artist, for those who don't know). When you have a person in your chair, and they are staring back at you, you feel obligated to have a conversation. Over time you just get bored asking the same question over and over......and over. "what grade are you in?" "What do you do up there in Detroit?" "Is this your first visit to unnamed water park?" ect.

One thing I like to ask kids is " More...

Fantastic!
I'm expected a lot in this book, 'cause now Percy Jackson won't be the main character anymore. I thought three new demigods will like the " copycat" of Annabeth, Grover, and Percy. But they have totally new character. This book is a lot more humor than Percy Jackson series.
In this book, it continued the prophecy of " The Last Olympian". Oh , I read and I gasped, then read again. Rick Riordan's writing is better than. The one who told the story are the t More...

OMG!!!!! I cant wait for this book to come out! It is going to be awesome!!! I heard that Percy isn't going to be the main character though. :'( He's still in the book, so that's still fantastic.
I think the main character is either going to be some one really new or Nico.....

Eek! I didn't realize Rick Riordan was writing another Camp Half-Blood series until my friend posted a link to the preview of this book. Wow! Sounds a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!!

It's Camp Half-Blood once again, and it's got Percy Jackson in it! (Okay, well, just the last to words of Chapter two that I know of.) Now it's got a boy named Jason who seems - excuse me sounding like a boy-crazy girl - totally hot (and, if I use my usual vocabulary, interesting).

UPDATE:

I've sort of neg More...

So I finished this book in 8 hours of solid reading. Yes, even 400-something pages of Greek mythology take that long.

And the first thing which I should mention is that this book, and some others which have come before it and all those which will follow, have nothing going for them except for plot. Absolutely nothing. (Well, unless you count occasional hilarious one-liners on the side. I guess I should.)

Of course, we can't discuss this book without discussing the origina More...

*REVIEW FOR LOST HERO*

After getting lost in a whole paranormal faze of reading, I needed something light, humorous, but still serious/adventure kind of book. It so happens that just a few days ago, The Lost Hero came out, adding another series to the Camp Half Blood stories, including the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Some might complain that some books need to end- for this particular book, I thought that too, until I actually read it. Now I'm thinking that Rick Riordan was More...

I can't not wait to read this!
Like the Red Pyramid, the first book of The Kane Chronicles, this book has a potential to be amazing like the Percy Jackson series. I really hope it is good!! I read the first two chapters and now I seriously can't wait!! Two books by Rick Riordan in ONE year?! Talk about awesome! :)

The title of this book I like. The cover is good too.

But moving on, Riordan is definitely getting better at the cliffhangers. Gosh I don't know if I like it or not. Wait a minute, I do know-I don't like it. I don't enjoy having to wait but now that The Son of Neptune is out I don't feel as bad as I would've.

Jason is quite a strange character since he already knows all these things about monsters and gods (by there Roman names) but somehow he doesn't know his last name More...

So. I want to start by saying I was a HUGE fan of the Percy Jackson series (duh) and also that I was a little wary about buying this book. I mean, it's not about PERCY anymore. And although I ended up enjoying it immensly, I was right to be wary.
The third-person narrative wasn't nearly as fascinating as Percy's first-person speech. Moreover, out of the three narrators, I only found Leo interesting. Piper was irritating and Jason was just bland. With the exception of Leo, there was not More...

That’s it! I’m tired of all this playing with my emotions. No more series…unless it’s totally awesome. UHHGR!!! As you might be able to tell I’m a little upset about how this ended. How can authors just leave you hanging like that!?!

Quick Overview:
Jason’s understandably a little freaked out when he wakes up on a bus and has no idea who he is. Apparently he’s been going to the Wilderness School, has a girlfriend named Piper, and his best friend is Leo.
Piper hasn’t heard More...

I didn't like this one quite as much as I liked the Percy Jackson series, but it was still very good. I think Rick Riordan has really hit on something special with the world he has built. It's a breath of fresh air after all the vampire/angel/werewolf books to read a fantasy about Greek (and now Roman) gods. Kids might actually learn something from reading these! He has also mastered the perfect tone to take, sometimes funny, sometimes exciting. His stories are about kids who don't fit it--they' More...

Throughout "The Lost Hero", I have found that people should not be judged from external first impressions. For example "Drew curled her lip at Piper as if she were a week old burrito that had just been pulled out of the dumpster". This girl Drew only got a glance at Piper before she began to mentally criticize her. This is unfair that before Piper can introduce herself and show what a nice person she is, she is critiqued. I was also thinking that Despite the fact that Piper c More...

New chapter has begun. New Great Prophecy has predicted. New demigods have appeared. The Lost Hero picks up shortly after Percy Jackson and The Last Olympian left off.

In this book, we met three new demigods who have issues. First was Jason who seemed to have a memory problem since he doesn't remember anything. Second was Piper who happened to have a father who is a famous actor that has been gone for days. Last was Leo who was little problem with fire.

I enjoyed this book. More...

I loved Riordan's first effort in his new Heroes of Olympus series, The Lost Hero. It's probably just the geeky social studies teacher in me, but I was really excited to see the blend of both Greek and Roman mythology. (It's just a crazy coincidence that we were learning about Ancient Rome while I was reading it—really, just a coincidence. But a pretty cool one.) As much as I enjoyed the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series—and I did enjoy them thoroughly—I have to admit that by the last fe More...

This is an awesome book! In the start, this school for kids who have gotten in trouble with the law are taking a field trip to the Grand Canyon. This is where Jason wakes up. He can't remember who the people with him are. Then, storm spirits show up and try to kill Jason and his other demigod friends, Leo and Piper, along with their protector, Gleeson Hedge. In the battle, Jason pulls out a coin, flips it, and it becomes a gold edge sword. In the battle, Gleeson Hedge, or Coach Hedge, sacrfices More...

WHY IS IT SO HARD TO WRITE A REVIEW ABOUT A BOOK YOU LIKE?
it's always hard for me in writing a review about a book you like. it's like trying to tell your crush that you like him/her but find it hard to say it. on the other hand, you've got a lot to tell about your enemy and without even trying to.

okay, i'll try to write a review:
