She wasn't the kind of girl gorgeous men flirted with. She was plain Jane Miller--great at her job, organized, efficient, sensible. Except that every time she met Jay's deep blue eyes, she knew he wanted her. And she wanted him--the guy was seriously sexy Perhaps it was time to let go for a change, and have the time of her life

What's with the titles of most HQ books? They are too stupid to believe, and often have nothing to do with the book. This is yet another example. This book has nothing to do with mistresses or bosses. This is actually a well-written book about friendship, mistaken identity, trust, and love. I almost didn't buy the book because I thought it might just be about the "handsome boss who is determined to seduce his less worldly employee" or some such crap. Skimmed the end of this one. It started out pretty good. The hero was very different in that he was a male model who wrote tech manuals in his 'real' life. But somehow it just didn't work for me. I didn't like that she got upset with him when she figured out who he was (an old friend from childhood who had been keeping in touch by email). I don't do real well when heriones get angry over silly things and then I just skimmed the rest. Didn't suck me back in.

It started out great, but the heroine turned into a ninny & I stopped reading halfway through.

Is it just me or the synopsis doesn't really fit the story? Especially the mistress part.
The book description really does seem like it's for a different book. Except for the main character names, it doesn't fit the plot.
