Watching someone you love slip away due to Alzheimer's is devastating, especially for young children who don't really understand. It's tough to find a book on this topic for kids that is hopeful and still realistic, but this one works. Emma and Pop have been tap-dancing together since she was old enough to walk. Emma's favorite thing to do is dance with her grandfather but as he ages, she and her family must learn to cope with his forgetfulness. Do his feet remember how to dance? I wonder about this book's appeal...perhaps limited since there is a lot of tap dancing to establish the relationship between Emma and her grandfather.
