I don't usually review or rate the books I've read, because I find it too hard. However, because this book (to my surprise) didn't have any reviews, I wanted to give my views on it, so people can see how good it is, in my opinion.

I really loved this book!! I've read other books by Stacia Kane (December Quinn is her erotic romance pseudonym, as Stacia Kane she writes urban fantasy/paranormal romance.). I really love her as an author, so I was very excited when I won this e-book in a twitter conte

The story held a little promise and I was actually interested by Sebastian's story, but it sort of fell apart after the first few pages. Becky is probably the most annoying character I've come across in a long while. It isn't that she's stupid or weak, but she is so shallow and cold that it just made me want to pull my hair out.

I kept finding myself asking why he even put up with her at all -- surely there would be someone better suited for him elsewhere? Maybe if she had more redeemable qualiti
“Robitsvia is a very beautiful, a very special place. It hides in the mountains. When the sun sets in the evening, the snow turns purple and red against the gold sky. When the moon is out, the mountains are so perfect in the pale light it makes my chest ache. And the air is so fresh it cleans the body when you breathe it.”

Sebastian, a rotagosja, similar to but a class above a vampire, recently woke after sleeping for almost a hundred years and has traveled to New York to find a wife. At a charit
I read online that December Quinn was an alias of Stacia Kane. This, and the fact the novella was cheap, made me willing to read it.

Unfortunately, the characters are flat to the point of embarrassment. He is bland and omega to the core, she is shallow and stupid. The fangs are something to laugh at, this is straight contemporary romance/erotica, nothing to do with PNR (you could erase them and nothing would change).

You are not rooting for either the heroine and the hero. As I said there are both

I wanted this book to be so much more and it had the potential to be that way but the author made the heroine so unlikeable. Rebecca is consumed with being in the in crowd and does anything to stay there. She is superficial and vain but it is because of how she was raised. The author could have salvaged Rebecca if she had shown more of the parts where here and Sebastian were bonding and she was herself. Sebastian was a wonderful male flawed but like able. The ending made the book it would be adv ...more
Oh Sebastian, you really needed to grow a backbone long before you did.

Rebecca is just so shallow I seriously wanted to slap her, she really doesn't deserve him.

The book did have a lovely scene at the end (view spoiler) but really I wouldn't particulary advise reading this book just for that.
good story
but the best twist was that
the girl was the clueless one
and the "old fashioned"
vampire was the more self aware one
