He was the boy from the wrong side of the tracks, but that hadn't stopped Wade Armstrong from wanting Edie Brand while they were in high school. Now she was back in town, and Wade felt compelled to keep her safe—even if it meant moving in with her.
Edie's pretty face had always gotten her noticed, but now it had earned the former model the admiration of a stalker. So she le

This one is about the Edie, the Brand sister who went to LA and became a famous lingerie model much to the chagrin of her mother but Edie is back and has been for five months, just sitting around the house doing nothing, trying to figure out what to do with life when her mother gives her a kick, she is more than her looks and she should follow her dream of a photography studio.

Wade had a huge crush on Edie in high-school, he adored her, but she never noticed him, or so he thought, he

I love this series but there were other books in it that I thought were better than this one. It was still good but not my favorite. I was expecting another sweet, funny love story like Maya and Caleb in Book One, 'The Brands Who Came for Christmas' which at last count I have read three times.

This book is about Edie Brand, the daughter of Vidalia who left home at eighteen and became what is equivalent to a Victoria Secret model. She is heading home after a stalker in LA almost ki

I’m currently bouncing back and forth between the Oklahoma Brands and the Texas Brands and loving every minute of it. ;) I’ve come to consider them my ‘feel good’ reading diversion. The characters are fun and witty, there’s just a little bit of danger and a whole lot of smexiness… what’s not to love?

Edie is the prodigal daughter. She is the only one of the Brand girls to leave home, but she came back and in Brand New Heartache she feels like she has something to prove. Running into Wade Armstron

Honestly this series is really cheesetastic and unbelievable, bordering on ridiculous, but for some reason I like it! I really don't understand why, they're not very good. But I read the first on since it was free and read the teaser for the next and couldn't help myself. I liked this one better than the first. I like grumpy Wade but at the same time was a little creeped out by him sometimes. But I tried to just ignore those parts. (view spoiler) ...more

Another fantastic story from Maggie. I just adore her style of writing and I really get sucked frim the first few pages of these books. I've absolutely loved all of her books from the Texas Brands and now the Oklahoma Brands too. I love the feeling of family and loyalty too, and you see all of the characters grow as yiu move through the series.

I have to say I wasn't as drawn to Wade in this book and I did cringe quite a few times at what he was saying to Edie. I also thought the painting was a

DNF. I tried to hang in there but at a little over 50% I just couldn't take the bizarre fixation the H has for the h. I often have a hard time with characters who can't move past high school, but this guy took the cake with a stalkerish collection of pictures of the h who was a lingerie model. All because he crushed on her in high school and he believed she looked down on him. It is 10 years later. He is 28. And meanwhile a(nother) stalker is after the h, but no one thinks the H's fixation on ...more

I miss the epilogue! Love the story and the way Wade protects Edie. She was very brave changing her life and dealing with the stalker.

This is the second book in the Oklahoma Brand series and features the beautiful Edain Brand, aka Edie.
Edie has made a name for herself as a lingerie model for Vanessa's Whisper. Our hero Wade Armstrong has worked diligently to build a respectable reputation and business in their hometown. In fact, Wade has wallpapered his auto-body shop with photos of Edie Brand. Wade has loved Edie since high school when Edie wouldn't even look his way. Ironically, Edie wouldn't look his way because she was afr

In high school, Wade Armstrong had been half in love with Edie Brand, even though she barely seemed to notice his existence.

In high school, Edie Brand had been afraid to even look at Wade Armstrong. He was too hot, to smooth, and his reputation of being able to get any girl to say yes on the first date scared the daylights out of her.

Edie & Wade's story continues the Oklahoma Brands story with a super-feisty couple bent on misunderstanding each other.

Wade has spent his life, with people looking down at him.. His father was the local drunk and he grew up with next to nothing.. But he's determined to show them that he's not scum and works hard to make his garage successful... Then he finds out that the object of his schoolboy crush has returned, and is determined she wont look down on him... Edain Brand is a very successful lingerie model, but hasn't seen her family for a long time, as her mum thinks she's degrading herself as a glorified ...more

I love how everybody had a opinion about Edie. Stuck up, stripper, hooker, model. Even her mother didn't like her underwear modelling. It is till wade moves in and starts taking care if her that u see the real Edie. Wade has live Edie since high school, with a stalker after her Wade can't not but try n fix the problem. Through the book u see wade as he truly is and fall in love a little bit on the way. I love this family and how each character is different but loved. Great suspense and HEA

Edie just needs a good man

Edie goes home to stay but learns that she must let her family know about her California life. She never expects Wade to be part of her new life. Wade is the typical, guy who got away, in Edies eyes. Wade makes sure to let Edie suffer for her treatment of him in high school but underneath, he just wants a chance to show her how much she means to him. A true love story.

interested in the same house and Edie buys it mostly to spite Wade. She has a stalker so most of the book follows this. Wade moves in with her for protection and has a lovely Great Dane Long Tall Sally who takes to Edie right away. We follow the family and the stalker throughout the book. Sally is a sweet dog and very protective of Edie. I look forward to the next book Secrets and Lies.

This is one of my all-time favorite books, I've read it over and over and I still love it every time. The funny thing is, it's pretty cheesy but I can't help myself from loving it anyways! haha
I love Wade, he's a great character, but I agree with some of the other reviews that the painting thing was not necessary! Other than that, I adore this book! :)

Edie Brand loses her modeling career and returns home to start over. Wade Armstrong spent his life obsessing over Edie and never knowing she was also obsessing over him but to shy to even show it. After a lot of twists and turns this couple find a love to hold onto. Awesome read.

Even 6 years later I can remember liking this book. I liked Shaynes writing style so much I looked for others by her. Man was I surprised, very pleasantly though. I think her vampires are some of the best out there.

I found both of the protagonists frustrating with all of their assumptions. The book got better once they started talking and looking past those assumptions to the truth.

I don't know why, but this just rubbed me wrong. The action was forced and I didn't like the characters. Their chemistry seemed fake.

I'm enjoying this family even more.

The Brands are a far flung bunch. And yet a close family. You would want them to be on your side.
