I got this book after doing a search and finding it on Amazon and noticed it had been given a 5 star rating by Midwest Book Review and a member of the Florida Writers Association. I also highly recommend it. This is not your typical romance novel. The author takes us back to a nostalgic time--the 1950's--and explores a taboo romance between a high school senior and a young married woman. It is a well paced novel and well written. I ordered this book because I thought the story sounded interesting. And, while the story still sounds interesting, the writing is subpar. I'm only on page 6 and I'm having a hard time convincing myself that I should keep reading.

I'm still plugging away at this book. The story is improving and is distracting me from some of the grammatical issues and typos.
