This book makes me angry! Why is there no other commentary that helps with Apuleius' complex grammatical and lexical quirks! And Kenney is absolutely useless in this regard. But if you want some help on intertextuality, he's your man. I can't believe he lists a hapax legomenon and doesn't even give you the word's definition! Hurrumph!

shows the whole story behind Cupid and Psyche's love affairs but not entirely in full detail. the Golden Ass part was also unnecessary. It would have worked if they showed the relation of the story to the story of Cupid and Psyche.
