Couldn't get into it... seemed too... Law and Order if that makes sense.
A private detective is about to close his office when an elderly man enters and requests help. It seems he first went to the police who referred him to this PI. His problem, he states, is that someone is trying to kill. him. The PI gives him a polite brush off. The next day, the old man is found murdered.

This is the 2nd mystery by this author, and regrettably so far, his only two. I hope he writes more.

I'm not a huge fan of mysteries, but, this was a great book! I really enjoyed it. It had true to life characters and a good plot that kept me going well into the night. Highly recommended. Good sarcasm of the characters too!

This is a well written and exciting private-eye story ... a real page turner! I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend it. Although this is my first Siverling read, it's his second novel. I will definitely go back and read his debut novel.
A nice change of pace from the recent romances I've been reading lately. Not gruesome, but a little mystery to mix it up a little. Not bad.
