So, I read this series when it first came out while I was still living in Japan, and now I sorely regret not being able to bring home all of those lusciously-detailed volumes (I just didn't have room in my boxes I mailed home or my suitcases!) that I'd bought and read there. This is one absolutely gorgeous series, both in terms of story and visuals - Suzumi is really, really talented with details, and no matter what she draws, I'll read (and probably buy). So glad this is an omnibus edition and thus has some heft to it. Because I swear, I'm going to huck it at the next person who talks smack about shoujo manga. Some people love to insist the shoujo manga is just girliness and romance and while I like both those things, that idea is utter bullshit.

Venus Versus Virus is a cool manga about girls kicking monster ass. What more do you need to know?

Love Love Love this series! It is one of my all time favorites!
So this one was a really fun read. It was nice and thick since it was 3 volumes in one, and it had some really nice artwork and full pieces to it. I liked the dark elements as well as the whole goth style that the author worked in together. Plus the stories were all nicely put together and there weren't any really confusing parts or parts that seemed to be missing. I liked the overall basis for the story, but I had a hard time liking the characters. I will most likely finish the series since it is quite short, but I have many other mangas that are higher up on the priority list right now.
