I welcome reviews ~ good or bad...all I ask is that they be honest...reading the book first always helps...a negative or positive review from someone who has not read the book is not fair to other readers (not pointing fingers...cough cough)

This is a very touching story. I enjoyed it very much.

Antonia Dal Santo is a wonderful character. She is very loyal to her friend. In fact, I would say that Antonia sees Josephine as a sister. She has had a very tough life, but has retained her spirit. I loved this character, as she is very strong and protective.

Josephine Ferrero is a character that set my teeth on edge. She is not a bad person, but she is exceedingly self centred, and seems to have tunnel vision when she wants something. She is...more

I do not think I would have read this had I not won it. I am glad that circumstances led me to it. It is a very visual and graphic book but I could not put it down. Good book that keeps you reading. Not my normal kind of read but enjoyable and eye opening nontheless.

I really enjoyed this book. The story is about two women who have been friends since the age of Seven. Antoinia a poor girl who has been abused in every way imaginable and Josephine who is friendless are paired together by a caring nun at their school. Together they form a life long friendship. Things falll apart for both of them when shots ring out at Josephine's home and Antoinia is shot saving her friend. The story is told over the course of a 24...more

Having read Ann Marie's story some time ago, I can heartily recommend it to anyone who enjoys a tense and compelling human drama. It deals convincingly with a subject that allows no easy solutions and deals with them in a competent and original manner.

Read it, you will not be disappointed.

    I loved this book.
I know a lot of people probably would not understand how friendships made in childhood can last a lifetime, but I do, and I really enjoyed the story.
I could feel the pain, of both of them, and I could see where the one felt like she had to protect her friend who had more material things but less idea of how the world worked.
    Good Book, Ann Marie!

I don't know whether to be mad at Ann Marie for writing such a great book or myself for staying up all night to read Where the Sun Sets. It was deliciously dark, emotional and totally had me riveted.
I never knew what would happen next or if the characters would make it out alive. The ending caught me by surprise..Good Job!! Great Read!

The story was well written, well thought out, and flowed smoothly as it gave us different characters' perspectives. The story and characters were awesome! It was the right amount of excitement, and intrigue. I loved it. And will recommend it.

Engaging characterizations, suspenseful story, and sharp writing, makes Where the Sun Sets novel feel fresh and exciting. Can't wait for the next novel from this writer, Ann Marie.

Ann Marie's style reminded me of Jackie Collins. Not bad, but not great.

If you enjoy feeling what you read then this is the book for you. Every emotion will erupt. Reads like a roller coaster. Slow safe beginning...the you hit that first hill and realize you can't get off. By the time you have fininshed you will rush back in line to ride again. Of course since I am the author I may be...well you know...but trust me...Great read

I found this book to be built up to be more than it was and was a bit let down. I found the writing style to be a bit juvenile and all over the place and the main character Josephine, made me want to pull my hair out! Either way, at least the ending resolved the entire book so, it wasn't too bad.

This book is beautiful. From the amazing piece of artwork cover that is the cover to the very last word. Two women are forced to learn exactly who they are.
