This is not your average health and anatomy book. This book, geared towards zombies, helps the young zombie better understand the humans they are chasing and consuming. Ideal for grabbing the attention of students who like gross things, this book’s approach to science makes cells and muscles downright fun (or, perhaps, downright appetizing if you are a zombie). Low level readers may be frustrated by the zombie text’s incorrect grammar, but all actual information regarding the human body is in co ...more

Zombie lovers everywhere will thoroughly enjoy Scholastic’s new guide to the human body. Filled with cool facts, detailed illustrations, and lots of gross stuff, this guide is one that will appeal to even the most reluctant of readers. Full-color photographs combined with graphic illustrations outline juicy information from a cell’s life span to how an MRI works. Not for the faint at heart. This is a clever guide to the human body. Zombie lovers will love the added information. I especially love the suggestion that vertebrae make great rings for zombies. Some of the pages are a little busy, but this read is great fun.

Five stars for gross out zombie pic/factoid factor. Three to four stars for non-fic explanations of the parts and systems of the human body.

Won't get this for the elementary school but if I was a middle or high school I'd think about it just for the kitsch factor. Design really is ... too good. Ugh.

This book was fairly disappointing. Don;t get me wrong, it's a decent overview of anatomy for students, but the zombie aspect almost got in the way. Some of the pages were too busy.

This is too funny! Your standard nonfiction anatomy book for children edited with hilarious asides from "Professor Zombie". Recommended for boys and reluctant readers.
