When Vasco’s tribe is mysteriously wiped out by humans, he heads to the sewers to look for a new tribe of rats to join. That’s right: rats. And the author obviously did her homework. These rats are clicking their teeth, hissing, and peeing just like the real ones. This is definitely not a book for those who get queasy at the idea of seventy rats hitching a ride in the back of your pick-up, but if you can get past that it’s a somewhat dull (and far too long) story of the search for a home and wha ...more

Boring and annoying. The story of a young rat who leads his tribe away from exterminators. Every chapter or so, Vasco moans about the love of his life who has decided to love his friend. And every chapter has some great predicament that the young rat suddenly seems able to solve, which is rather unbelievable because he has no experience and no brains. His only talent is the ability to show emotions. It may appeal to some, but frankly, rats aren't very lovable anyway!
