The book Spell fall by Katherine Roberts is about a girl name Natalie who discovers about her secret powers and learns about the magical world. Natalie was kidnapped by this mysterious person who wants her to join them. The mysterious person wants to destroy the soul tree.

Not a bad read, and definatly one I was interested in. The author has a very creative mind and has firmly set her own world up. While I think it was written for a younger audience, (maturity of the writing a little low) she was able to keep my interest despite the fact that I was above the reading level on this book.
And the magehounds are beautiful. If anything, read it for the magical wolves ^^

If you look above, you will see that I haven't read this book in a long time. I remember it to be a satisfactory fantasy book, and I liked the ending. If you need something to read, go for it.
This is another book from my childhood, so my review is pretty much completely useless. The nostalgia factor involved with this book clouds any negative judgement I could have made about it.

This book is really good I remember reading it when it came out. Somehow I always think the name of the book is Earthaven. The book centers on Natalie who gets transported to a magical place, she has to help defeat some spellmages. I recommend this book to anyone who is into fantasy books.
I'm reading this through for the second time, after finding it in my attic. I read this and loved it in third grade, and am totally loving it again! It may be a bit of a strange concept sometimes, but waaay less so than a lot of fantasy books can be! Very cool, very fun, and very timeless!
This is one of my favorite books of all time. It starts as a traditional story about a girl who's lost her mother and a young boy with an abusive and controlling father. The reader in instantly drawn to these two poor lost souls, just trying to get through the day. I really enjoyed this book. This imaginative tale kept me turning pages and wondering what would happen next. I loved how the ending left room for a sequel without feeling incomplete on its own. All in all this was a very entertaining read. I definitely recommend it!
I remember this book being the first sort of modern fantasy I ever read (I was 12 at the time), and I can say, while it grabbed me, there was something about the story that set me on edge. Nothing felt quite magical, and few of the characters I felt were likable, and something about it just felt creepy, like a fantasy gone wrong. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this book, but I wouldn't say it is bad, either.
Immature and poorly thought out. The backstory was unjustifiably complicated. Characters interesting enough. Mystical language filled withQs, soul tree, animals talking in dialect - blah.
I loved it, I just thought it was amazing. It was genius, and beautiful and every second made me want to jump up and down and be magical and stuff.
New, interesting idea, but boring in parts. Girl finds a spell which leads to a journey to discover her past and a new world...

Interesting and a good young adult novel
My children and I read this one together each night right before bed time. My daughter said that she loved it and that's why she gave it five stars. I personally am glad to be finished with this story! For me it was painful and I just couldn't stand it, but as it was written more for my daughters age group and not mine that might explain it. Good Tweens book.
It was a little hard to follow at the beginning, but the combination of the two worlds ends up being pretty cool. I feel like the author doesn't want to explain things about her magical world, which is ok with me generally, because I tend to get annoyed if too much time is spent in really obvious explanations that don't flow with the story, but in this case it was a little distracting because I was trying to figure out how the world functioned rather than following the storyline.

Let me just tell you now if you like fantsy and adventureous books then Spellfall is the perfect book for you. What I like about this book is that it keeps you guessing what's going to happen next. I also found it quite clever how the author started with 2 different conflicts and in the end turned it into an "epic" battle. young Nat encounters her first spell and this leads her into a new world that all along hasbeen right next to her own. Your bound to enjoy it.
I really like this book. This book has a very interesting and thoughtful plot.
