One fateful detour. A raging storm. She didn’t see this love coming…

Holding a knife against a child’s throat isn’t exactly how Dr. Paige Weston had planned to spend her Christmas holiday. But a jolt from an air pocket and here she is, performing an emergency tracheotomy as her flight to Fiji diverts to Kauai. The one place she swore never to return.

Beside the fact her pati

I read this book hating the guy the entire time. So many stupid mistakes here that just made me more frustrated. Paige is an idiot. So is Nathan. I wanted to slap them all silly. One might find the girl a little darling, I didn't. She'll end up a manipulative little bitch, just like her mom.
5 years ago Paige and Nathan had a whirlwind romance and became engaged. He had recently come out of a bad relationship with someone else. His ex showed back up pregnant. Thus ended Paige's happiness. They moved on with their lives but in complete misery. Then came the day they saw each other again and there began Nathan's quest to win Paige back.

Let me just start by saying that MM is one of my favorite authors. It really pains me to say anything negative about one of my favorite authors' books.

This is the type of book I'd normally love, but I thought Paige, for as heartbroken as she was, acquiesced a little too quickly. She should have made him work a little harder.
Absolutley horrible. couldnt even finish it, it was THAT bad.
A wonderful hot read. Paige being a caring doctor saves a child's life on a plane ride to join her family on Fiji. The plane gets re-routed to the island of her nightmares. The child not wanting to lose her keeps hold of her and she ends up trapped there with no luggage or purse. With no planes leaving due to weather she ends up helping the hospital out. Her first patient Cami brings her face to face with the man that broke her heart 5 years earlier. You really feel the emotions flowing from bot ...more
My review cross-posted from Joyfully Reviewed:

Fate, in the form of an emergency in-flight tracheotomy, lands Dr. Paige Weston in Kauai rather than her planned destination of Fiji. While most people wouldn’t mind spending Christmas in Kauai, for Paige it’s the last place she ever wanted to see again. Five years ago Paige met and fell in love with Nathan Cross, only to have his ex-girlfriend appear on the scene a week before their wedding to announce that s
Dr. Paige Weston is on her way to Fiji to spend the Christmas holidays with her mother and sister when her plane is unexpectedly detoured because a little boy had an accident on the plane. After attending to the child the best she could the plane is about to leave him at Hawaii, but the little boy doesn't want to let go of her, so she goes with him to the hospital, where she learns she is not in Honolulu as she believed, but in Kauai, the one place she swore never to return to, after her fiancee ...more
This book has a "second chance" and reunion theme. However, truthfully, I wish they never got together again. First of all 5 years ago they were madly in love and engaged, however his ex became pregnant. Longstory short, he married the horrible hag and stayed married to her for 5 years while the heroine moved and pined away blah blah blah. This story could have been so much better with a little more groveling, a stronger heroine that wasn't ruled by her vajayjay, and a hero with a backbone. His ...more
I liked the story line time this book but wasn't a fan of the graphic sexual experiences that were written about the 2 main characters. If the sexual scenes had of been toned down quite a fair bit this book would of got a higher rating.
The story was a classic romantic story which I loved

Preditable with lots of sex, but I enjoyed it anyway.

Born and raised in Arizona, I guess you'd call me a desert rat. Well, actually, I'd be a desert rat that loves the mountains and lakes. Arizona gives me great pleasure, because if I'm not at the computer writing or buried nose deep in a book you'll find me on a four-wheeler, or a jet ski, or being pulled behind my 26’ Monterey boat on an oblong tube called a ‘hot dog’ laughing my ass off. In fact, ...more
