OK, this is a light read, and worth the time it takes. Many established authors are here, and they clearly had fun with the idea. As with any story collection, some are better than others. I thought a couple tried to hard for the surprise ending.

But I'm edging toward geezer territory, and that made me enjoy this one.

A very good collection of noir shorts the best of the bunch included Cameron price hughes, Carolyn Haines, Ed gorman, Tom piccalilli, bill pronzini, James reasoner, Kay Richardson, and anthony Neil smith (smiths being the highlight of the Collection

I've only read the story by Ace Atkins, but I love the "geezer noir" concept.
