It’s not the grim Moscow of Soviet times but a new Moscow, where power resides once more behind the walls of the Kremlin and critics are ruthlessly silenced. A Moscow where new Stalinists are plot

Even though it's not based on true events, I just feel sick of picturing muslims as terrorists, and picturing jewish people as the chosen people. It really pulls my nerves. Other than that, I would say it's an average espionage reading.

I loved this book. I cried through a lot of it and just enjoyed the book to no end. I wish there were more Gabriel Allon books. I love the historical context, the art history and the current events he writes about.

This isn't my favorite of the series. I actually had to take a break from this one. I am not sure if I am just tired of this poor guy getting beat up or if it is the other characters in danger. The ending was still great. I will read the next book :-)
