Annother nice pattern book from Debbie Bliss, filled with "interesting" small projects, presented well, in a beautifully produced book. The items shown are all cutesy "making a sweet home" sorts of things, and thus not all that interesting to me. But if you're into crafting lots of nice little things to have around your house, then this is a wonderful book.

This is a 3.5-4 book depending on your knitting needs. It's got a great variety of projects and I love that it's broken down into seasons. I guess my singular complaint is that there's a lot of for kids wearables but not very many for adults wearables. That said, it's got great accessories and DIY decorations (I currently have a pompom garland up as my "falling snow" for the winter time that we don't really get in South Florida). This is one book that - after I return to the library - I will con...more
Sometimes Debbie Bliss leans slightly too "Martha Stewart" for my personal tastes, but I really liked nearly all of the patterns in this book. They seemed really modern, cute, and tasteful to me, and the seasonal arrangement is really nice.
The only thing that bummed me out was the incorporation of too much sewing -- fabric bag linings, contrasting pillow fabric, etc. I knit because I don't like to sew :-)

this is a pretty book on thick paper. the pattern ideas weren't for me, not much that stood out in a style i would enjoy. there is a snazzy cabled bag, but it's giant! but it is pretty. as silly as it sounds, the construction of the floral corsage was interesting because of the picot turning row in the center.
So many projects, so little time! Great inspiration for knitting into 2012. I bought this book for the scarf pattern on the cover but am excited for a number of the patterns inside. However, unlike Debbie Bliss, knitting is not my job so I will take the "Make-in-a-week" note lightly. Some of the smaller projects that use "scrap" yarn may make up for that though.

Got this book as a birthday present from my mom.
There are definitely some odd projects (tiny American flag and a strange scarf with a collar),
but some of the projects look really cute. The baby sandals, the wide cabled scarf, and the plaid all look like fun.
