This book wasn't terrible, but I have to say that I would be happy to see Mark Antonius Richfield take a hike off a bridge...

There was only one thing I didn't like in this book - Mark Antonius Richfield. I liked Adam in For Love and Money and I knew Jack from several other books and I really wanted to see their story, not some unresolved issues between Jack and Mark! And to my utter dismay I discovered that in Action series they all - Jack, Adam, Steve and Mark - would be together in some sort of poly-relationship or something :/ Jesus Christ, I so wanted Jack to grow some balls and get over Mark :/

Overall, this book really worked for me. I am not generally into books with a lot of plot. Here, however, the storyline did not overpower the development of the relationship and was interesting and fairly unique.

I loved both MCs. I connected with them and understood where they were coming from. Adam's brand of flirting and pillow talk was a bit cruder than I am used to but I quickly grew to find it endearing. And the supporting characters were strong. I hated Mark as a "person" for most

Jack is still in love with his best friend Mark, even though Mark is in a committed relationship with Steve, so he doesn't really want a new love interest in his life.
Then in walks Adam, he is in need of a lawyer and there is an attraction between Adam and Jack, but Mark seems to have a lot of trouble letting Jack move on without him.
Adam's business partner OS also causing all kinds of trouble.
I liked this story and it held my in interest , but I do believe Steve and Adam are up for sainthoo

No surprises or tension leading to the initial meeting between the two men. I need that to create the sexual chemistry so this one's a miss for me. The synopsis made me expect there to be tons of sexual tension but for some reason the dialog and interaction was missing all that when there were so many opportunities for some biting wit, sarcasm and sexy banter.

Again I read this after the action series but loved seeing the foundation of Adam and Jack.

Contemporary m/m romance with an attorney Jack Larsen and star agent Adam Lewis who are both in trouble so they help each other find a new life. Adam is implicated in a sexual abuse case on his boss who is a star agent and would make his male clients do sexual acts if they wanted acting or modeling contracts so we start this story with Adam going to Jack to represent him in the coming case. Jack is attracted to Adam, but only after he believes that he is innocent in the case. Jack has a lot of b ...more

I didn't realize this book had the same characters as Capital Games until I got into the story a little ways. I really liked knowing more of what happened to Jack, he was so in love with Mark and seemed like a nice guy so it was good to see him get his happily ever after. When he first meets Adam, its because Adam is in trouble with his business partner and needs legal advice. Adam is immediately attracted to Jack, but Jack is hesitant. He doenst want to get burned once again. I liked how they s ...more

This is almost a "welcome back friends" book. It gathers characters from a bit of older books, as primary characters or little cameo appearances.

Adam, Ewan's Hollywood agent from "For Love and Money, the same man who made a move on Jason, Ewan's lover, is now in big trouble: his business partner is on trial for sexual harassment and he's clearly guilty, since it's the same thing he made on Ewan, and the reason why the guy chose to leave Hollywood and return back in England. Before the troubles c

Has a happy ending, but I found the whole situation a little sad

PROS:
- Two characters who are out and not afraid to admit it. No “I like him but am not sure whether he’s interested in guys” or “we can’t be together because I’m afraid to admit I like you” (not that I mind reading about those issues, but it’s nice to encounter out and proud guys on occasion).
- Some refreshingly frank conversations, particularly as

I WANT ADAM TO BE HAPPY, BUT I DON'T KNOW IF JACK IS THE ONE TO MAKE HIM HAPPY.
I HAVEN'T READ THE OTHER BOOKS IN THIS SERIES I GUESS IM GONNA HAVE TO. TO FIND OUT WHAT WILL
HAPPEN BETWEEN ADAM AND JACK.

I LOVE THIS BOOK BUT AT THE SAME TIME IT LEFT ME DOUBTING JACK'S LOVE FOR ADAM?
I KNOW JACK LOVES ADAM, BUT I DON'T THINK HE LOVES HIM AS MUCH AS ADAM LOVE JACK.
AND I DON'T SEE ANYTHING SPECIAL ABOUT MARK THAT APPARENTLY EVERYONE "LOVES" HIM.
SOONER OR LATER IT WILL GET IN BETWEEN ADAM AND JACK.
