One Grave at a Time (Night Huntress #6)
Having narrowly averted an (under)World War, Cat Crawfield wants nothing more than a little downtime with her vampire husband, Bones. Unfortunately, her gift from New Orleans's voodoo queen just keeps on giving - leading to a personal favor that sends them into battle once again, this time against a villainous sp...more
The main reasons why I adore the Night Huntress novels:
3. The romance between the two.
4. Amusing and awesome side characters (Vlad!).
5. Lots of awww-worthy scenes.
6. An utterly engaging plot.
Of those six reasons, only one of them is found in One Grave at a Time in abundance, and that is Cat. There is not nearly enough Bones, none of Vlad, almost no cute and heart-stopping fights/playful bantering betwe ...more
And guess what, they change the model! I admit I like the previous model, but this one not bad either :)Her hair is down, and the cat finally make appearance *hello Van Helsing*
I love the stepback too...
Like always, we can't see ALL Bones's face, but no problem :P

The Night Huntress series is a big guilty pleasure of mine. I love the characters, the dialogue and each new challenge presented to Cat and Bones in every book. They are not deep stories and there is quite a large emphasis on romance and sex, rather than mysteries, but they're pleasurable and addictive... like chocolate. And they're also better than a great deal of the paranormal genre because Jeaniene Frost writes fantastic characters and banter between them.
It's more than just paranormal roma ...more
This is the weakest book in this series.....WEAK WEAK WEAK!!!!!
Whewwwwww that hurt my heart to say that because every book in this series so far is KICK ASS!!!! Let me just say I only have ONE more book to complete this series so 6 out of 7 KICK ASS books is a great ratio!!!!
However will one book keep me away from finishing the MOST BADASS PNR/UF SERIES> I've ever read.......
So onward I march to last book!!!!!!
ONE GRAVE AT A TIMEis more filled with action then romance if you ask me ...more

What I have loved in all of the previous books, even when Cat and Bones were fighting, was the strong emotions causing through the main character, the fast-paced action, the great side-characters, the witty remarks, and of course the passion ...more

Update 7 June 2011:
Okay, I really want this to be published already, I keep re-reading the series thinking that by the time I do this will be out, unfortunately I can't time travel to October...
Gah!!! Just finished, review to come in a couple days. (:
Hmmm, this one is stuck right in the middle of three and four stars and neither fit! All the things we love about this series are present - just not a whole novels worth.
I love Cat and Bones and, unlike others, I love their relationship in this book. Rather than all the drama between them, their's is a solid yet deepening relationship with a love so strong it's palpable. That is wonderfully refreshing and encouraging. I love how Ms. Frost writes their relationship, the subtle looks, ...more
I feel like I'm sort of betraying my love for Night Huntress. But, it's important for me to be honest and fairly rate/review all the books I read without being biased to my favorite series'. Although I could probably fluff this up because I do really love Night Huntress and Cat and Bones and the whole gang, I'm not going to. I didn't hate this, but it is probably my least favorite Night Huntress book (I even liked Destined for an Early Grave better).
My biggest peeve with the book is tha ...more
It picks up shortly after where the events of This Side of the Grave left off. Cat is still carrying the residual effects of Marie Laveau's blood magic. And her uncle Don has appeared to her as a ghost. He can't move on to ...more
Love Cat and Bones and it was nice to get back to them after a year long break for me. Their relationship is solid, and it's great to just focus on how much they love each other instead of questioning their motives behind every move.
The reason for the low rating is that I felt like this book was very different from the rest of the series. Cat's team only made a few cameo appearances and Mencheres and Vlad were completely absent. I guess I know that they can't all be in every book, but i ...more
Cat and Bones definitely face a different challenge this time around and I have to admit, their new challenge was something I hadn’t read about before. So that’s always a huge bonus for me. Although I suppose that Cat and Bones didn’t get to show their moves all that much this time around. However for once their relationship wasn’t questioned at every turn which I enjoyed very much.
I also would’ve wished for more i ...more
I love this series…I love the characters…I love the writing….. I love the humour…
I just love this series!!!!
I started reading it.
It was not bad.
I have seen most of it already.
I was in Cat's head.
Bones was sexy and cool.
They did some stuff.
There was a week little plot.
Then I just stopped.
I did not finish it.
Bones is Spike from Buffy,right?
Well, I loved Spike!
But if I google James Marsters I will realize yet again that his time is up. He aged.
He is no longer Spike.
Bones is no longer Bones.
He did not age. He just dulled.
I feel like I have been married to this character for so long, an ...more
There is no vampire couple in the urban fantasy world that is sexier or more lovable than Cat and Bones. That is a fact.
They are so sweet and passionate and fiercely protective of one another.
"There were words for what he meant to me, but if I studied every language ever spoken for the next thousand years, I still wouldn't find enough of them to describe it."
Cat continues to be funny, selfless, kindhearted, and courageous. While Bones is his usual suave, cunning, and lethally po ...more

Nothing changed much since my opinion on the previous book.
I just love Ian in so many levels I wish he'll have a book of his own. his sense of humore is what I love most. Denise has turned into a dragon, which was really cool. also we learn more about ghosts in Jeaniene's Frost world and their ability (i they are strong enough) to materilize. some of the plot arc is dedicated to building the ground to the next book (I really hate Don's replacement) ...more

“Ian,” Bones drew out warningly.
He grinned. “You’re right. I was aroused anyway.”
