In the interest of full disclosure -- this is the book I wrote. It's a novel based on a true story. A new foster teen comes to live in the same house as Julie Windom. What she learns about him will shock her and put her new family in danger. It won the California Reader Award in 2009.
I thought it was a great book. Julia stood up for herself and finally told Rocky to leave her alone. It was a great read.
I really loved this book. Julia is a strong person and I think she handled her situation really well.
