Personal Reaction:
When I first opened this book I was very overwhelmed because the illustrations covered all of the pages and the text was worked into the pictures. After I started reading and got more into it, i was enthralled because of its unique set up. The book took a class back in time with many historical figures and their story, and the interesting thing about it was the historical figures themselves were the ones to bring the students back with them. The first page includes Albert Einst
Personal Reaction: I found this book to be pretty informationally-overwhelming, but interesting nonetheless! This book features many historical figures of the 20th century including, JFK, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Hitler. The book is very vibrant and busy, which I did have a hard time with. But children who are working on different decades or are learning about the decades of the 1900s could use this book for a classroom project. It was a clever way to present the idea, but I wouldn’t read it for fun. This book would appeal to students between fifth and seventh ...more

Amazing illustrations. I loved it because instead of the traditional way of teaching history, it made it much more interesting and less confusing. I wish there were more history books like this for different eras.
