A sexy romp featuring the characters from Pamela Clare’s popular I-Team series.
Lissy Charteris and Will Fraser are two weeks away from getting married when Lissy suggests they put a bit of traditional romance into their lives by giving up sex until their wedding night. Though Will thinks it’s a crazy idea, he’s not about to admit he can’t do it. The two end up making a bet...more

UniquelyMoi ... So I Can Shine...

Yay! Amazon finally gave Heaven Can't Wait a real cover!!

 photo image_zps1301c847.jpg

Heaven Can’t Wait is only about 90 pages, but leave it to Pamela Clare to give us wonderful characters and a fun, sexy story that easily rivals some full length novels I’ve read. This story takes place between Extreme Exposure and Unlawful Contact, but I read it out of order and had no problem whatsoever. I'm giving this 5 stars because, in my opinion, unlike many short stories, this one didn't fall short or feel lacking in any way, othe...more

"Do you think it's possible for a couple to have too good a sex life?"

Um, I'm gonna say NO but what do I know. Lissy thinks that the explosive sex she and Will have is the only reason he wants to marry her and once he gets tired of it, he will be done with her (thoughts put in her head by her evil mother).

So, Lissy decides that maybe for the two weeks before their wedding, they should stop having sex so that their wedding night will be more romantic. It's a good idea...if they can handle it!

There aren’t many authors who can write novellas well, but Pamela Clare manages it with ease. Heaven Can’t Wait is a VERY short novella on Will and Lissy. Both work at the paper with the I-Team, but Will covers Sports while Lissy is Fashion and Arts. I was a little worried in the beginning because it took me awhile to warm up to them because we don’t know much about them at first...But, in the end, they are such great characters!

Will is HILARIOUS! I loved his wicked humor and charm. He always kn...more

A 5 stars very HOT, very SATISFYING contemporary novella

I first came across this title whilst searching through the list of published novels by Ms. Clare after I finished racing through the novels in the I-Team series at breakneck speed. Though by the time I had finished Naked Edge on October last year this title had already been released in Kindle format as a standalone from the Catch of the Day anthology this title was previously released in, I didn’t find out the fact until December last ye...more

OMG! This short story had me laughing so much!! what a great change of pace from the serious "i-team" atmosphere,to the funny and relaxed HOT couple in the indi newspaper.!

I love to see the Kara, Sophie, and Tessa doing the everyday stuff with the fashion editor Lissy. It showed a different side of them! and just as appealing!

I have to give it to Will. he made me laugh the entire story with his vows of abstinence and his friend Devon with the aversion to pink color !!!

Steam factor was off the c...more

What a great short read! I can honestly say I've never teared up reading a short story until I read this last night. It had all the elements of a great book only not as long. I absolutely LOVED Will and I'm a little sad he and Lissy didn't get a full book. There were so many good scenes in this book and I caught myself laughing out loud especially when Devon was there. He came across as a nice guy, but all I kept thinking was "I'd love to see him fall" and also I thought he and Horny Holly would...more

This was a highly enjoyable short story! It falls between the first and second I-Team books, but I didn't find out about it until after I'd read the second one. It didn't matter though, even though I do like to read books in order. This story is about Lissy and Will and the weeks right before their wedding. Lissy's mother, with all of her negativity, plants the seeds of doubt in Lissy that grow into a bet with Will. She wants to abstain from sex until after they are married, and since this story...more

OMG... I can't believe this one is part of my favorite series EVAH, I-TEAM!!! If you expect there are some action and suspense in this one, you'll be sorry. Heaven Can't Wait is contemporary romance, and it because Kara, heroine from the first book, Extreme Exposure, is Lissy's friends.

Pamela Clare not just can write great Historical (even I'm not read it yet), great suspense (haha, who don't know her fabulous series I-Team?), but she can write GREAT contemporary romance too. Fact that this is j...more

I don't think I admire an author more than I do Pamela Clare. She it utter perfection to me, whether it be historical romance, romantic suspense or a sweet contemporary novella like Heaven Can't Wait.

The short story of Lissy and Will finished my day off nicely. It was funny, it was sweet and it was scorchingly sexy from the very first pages. And not that it means much because I am a book guy wh*re, but my heart was-a-flutterin for Will. I want to wrap his sexy ex-football player body in...more

Will & Lissy are great together (gotta love Pamela Clare's leading men)!

The bantering between Will and his buddies was fun to read, and Lissy with the girls from the I-Team.. amazing (oh, how I missed them so).

I didn't feel like I was reading a 'short' because the story was complete and the characters were well developed.

Great read!

This was such a fun and sexy read! The sexual tension was explosive and the connection between Lissy and Will was so endearing. Well played Ms. Clare, well played indeed!

What a HOT, different short story. OMG my nauti kindle was smoking with the first paragraph of the story. When Lissy met Will she couldn't stand him, one day fate or clumsiness intervenes and they end up having hot monkey sex all night, they fell in love quickly after that. This book takes place 2 weeks before their wedding. Lissy decides they need to wait to have sex again until their wedding night. Because their sex life is so explosive, they place a bet on who is going to cave first. The teas...more

I cant believe i just now read this book. I was browsing along on Amazon and saw Pamela Clate and a cover I didn't recognize. I read the blurb and immediately ordered for my Kindle. So glad I did!!

What a delightful, sexy story!! Pamela had me LOL several times. I even read one of those lines to my husband and he laughed too!!

Will and Lissy are an adorable and sweet couple. Their love story was sweet and I loved how quickly they came together. Their battle of wills for their bet was so fun.

This was well written and Will was an amazing hero. He's sweet, humble, passionate, he's sex on a stick. But the plot was just stupid and I just kept eye rolling as I was reading this. And the Lissy just irritated the hell out of me. She treated Will like shit. How could you doubt that he only wants to be with you for sex and what he feels for you isn't love after being together for more than a year? Stupid, stupid, stupid.

It was a funny and entertaining read. Will and Lissy are madly in love and it shows... Good dialogs between hero/heroine. And I had to laugh about the interaction between Will and his buddies.

Predictable but sweet...

The story and characters are sweet, and the plot is exactly as described in the blurb for Heaven Can't Wait. Having just finished Clare's MacKinnon's Rangers series, which is a tremendous historic romance series with lots of plot action, it may be too much like jumping off a cliff for me to rate this sweet but fluffy and predictable story fairly. I do recommend Heaven Can't Wait to readers of the I-Team series, who will no doubt enjoy this story about the two weeks leadi...more

Heaven Can't Wait is sweet I-Team novella about Will and Lissy who are about to get married in two weeks. Lissy's mother says something to her, so they have a bet on not sleeping with each other till the wedding-night. Of course it not easy. I enjoyed it, these two loved each other and it showed.

(Partially Re-posted from my blog happilyeverafter-reads.blogspot.com)

I'm EAGERLY awaiting the next I-Team novel, but in the meantime, I discovered last week that I could purchase by itself for Kindle, an I-Team side story that was previously published in the 2006 anthology Catch of the Day, which somehow, I never read (FOR SHAME!). So I was beyond excited to have an I-Team short story to read over the weekend as I continue to wait ever-impatiently for Breaking Point.

The I-Team novella, Heaven...more

Lissy and Will are two weeks away from their wedding. They're blissfully happy until her mother calls, filling Lissy's head with doubt about the upcoming nuptials. Lissy begins to wonder whether really great sex could be mistaken for love. She knows deep down that they're deeply in love, however she feels the need to prove a point, and thus the bet is born. Will and Lissy will abstain from sex until their wedding, to heighten the anticipation and to focus more on the simple things in a relations...more

This book/novella is one amazing story and way better than some full length novels I've read! Pamela Clare never disappoints and she certainly came thru on this little gem of a book! Wow!

I'm lovin' me some Will Fraser(I seriously think Ms. Clare has heard my hubby speak and used this for Will's dialogue. Lissy and Will have amazing chemistry and they are one of the sexiest couples I've read in romance. Will is a great talker and I love that me makes Lissy laugh(my hubby...or in Lissy's case..."m...more

Really enjoyed it! I wish the author would write more contemporary romances like this. I would have given it 5 stars because it did have the emotion, the passion and characters that I loved, but there were a few scenes that seemed to end abruptly and I found myself jumping back in the digital book because I thought it had skipped a page. I don't know if it was the way it was written or if some passages were in fact missing from the copy of the book I purchased. A solid 4.5 stars! And I thought i...more

3.5* rounding up to 4* because it was a sexy read. ;-) This is a novella about two side characters from Clare's I-Team series. I think chronologically it would take place between Bk 1 and Bk 2 of the series, but I'm not totally sure and it doesn't have an impact on the story, anyway. The physical attraction between these two is a little over-the-top, but it's a fun, well-written escapist read. Plus, it works well as temporary "fix" for Pamela Clare fans while we await the release of Breaking Poi...more

Hahaha. I'm not even sure how this fits in a suspense series, but the hilarity that ensues is quite worth it. Will and Lissy are deeply in love with each other, but the real show-stealers are Will and his buddies.

“Is she watching? Good. Will, take your shirt off. The way we see it, you need to play some offense here.”
Nods all around.
“You told everyone?” Will glared at his best friend.
Devon shrugged. “You give in, and we wear pink. It’s our asses on the line.”

Will and Lissy make a bet before their wedding. Which one of them can make it the full two weeks before their wedding without sex. This book was so funny I laughed out loud, so touching my eyes were swimming with tears, and had enough steam to keep me wanting more. It is very short, I read it in an evening, but I did not feel shortchanged.

I have a girl crush on Pamela Clare. Seriously her stories are so full of passion, humor, plot, purpose. The woman always manages to make me "happy cry" and this time she did it in under 100 pages. Maybe she should start a paranormal series, because she's got some supernatural power with a pen.

This is a must read if you even mildly like her I-Team series.
