Shelves: journalism
This book, while outdated in some areas, provides a strong foundation of questions to ask yourself and examples of strong interviewing tactics.

The sections that discuss listening, questions and ethics are still relevant and are well organized. If I read it again, I would skip the chapter about "special challenges" as it stereotypes several groups. Of course, a 1989 book discusses 1989 technology, but many of the tips and tricks given relate to current journalism (digital recordings).
